I'm f*cked…. Lua thought to himself. Why had he been so curious? What good could have come out of a falling monster corpse? Perhaps he had been too greedy, trying to score an easy meal like a scavenger bird.
"Uh… I'm trying to ascend the mountain, sir." Lua tried to be as respectful as possible in his speech. He knew this man was considerably stronger than he was.
The man slowly let go of Lua's chin, causing him to sharply exhale, as he had been holding his breath. He slowly backed away, but stopped when he came to a point where he believed he could run away more easily. He didn't want to back away too quickly in fear of angering the unknown man.
"The mountain, huh? Did you hear the call too?" The foreign young man asked him. Lua, perplexed about this question, responded in kind:
"The call?"
The young man chuckled and rotated his spear in his hand that he had picked up. He then firmly planted into the ground, causing it to crack. He said:
