Shuugo followed Arata to the Tokyo Police Department Headquarters in the morning. After a long day, they only made it back to the Takigawa mansion by dinnertime. Upon arrival, Shuugo retreated straight to the master bedroom, shutting himself off from everyone.

"Onii-chan, how was it?" Midori asked, approaching Arata with Ame cradled securely in her arms.

Arata offered a regretful shake of his head. Reaching out, he gently took Ame from Midori.

"We showed Shuugo-Niisan all pieces of evidence we gathered regarding Chie-san's connection to Kurosuke and his men," He planted a soft kiss against Ame's soft cheek, causing her to break into a giggling fit. "He is shocked, I guess. Truthfully, despite our initial suspicion, even I was shocked once we dug further into Chie-san's life and background."

"Did you find out the reason why she affiliated herself with the rebels?" Midori asked.

Arata nodded.
