Kapitel 98: Chapter 98: Conceal Things (Part 1)

In his excitement, Mateo had forgotten to conceal it. Perhaps in his eagerness to succeed, he had unknowingly scraped his hand. "It's nothing, just a bit of a cut. I'm hungry. What are we eating tonight?"

Clara stir-fried spicy eel and stewed meat with beans. The taste was good, but somewhat bland. Salt was running out at home, with only four or five pieces left—enough for two meals.
