Tobias sighed in relief when the last young woman walked out of the room. This was one day of spending time with women that he did not enjoy.
"Enough of that,' Tobias said, dusting off his shirt as he stood up.
Tobias was more occupied with eating the cookies placed on the plates each time another woman came in instead of speaking about war over and over again along with how much he must love living in the palace.
Tobias had gotten enough compliments in a day to last him a year. He concluded that his mother must hate him for picking women he could never form a connection with.
He understood having to pick women from families they needed to keep loyal to the throne in the future, but Tobias was never going to get involved in a marriage with someone he wanted to hide from whenever they approached him.
