Kapitel 3: Chapter three

As Lola clenched her fists tightly, one of the bullies approached her, ready to strike. Swiftly, she seized his hand and effortlessly flung him aside. The other boys watched in astonishment, then launched a simultaneous attack. All five of them unleashed a flurry of punches, hoping to connect with Lola, but she gracefully evaded every blow. Her movements were a blur of speed.

Creating an opportunity, Lola retaliated with lightning-fast strikes, swiftly incapacitating each of them, sending them sprawling to the ground. Derek, initially hesitant, observed from a distance and refrained from attacking. However, he couldn't resist any longer and charged at Lola, aiming a punch. Yet, Lola's reflexes were quicker; she seized his hand and sent him crashing to the floor, stunning them all. Without further ado, the bullies scattered, running away in disarray.

Dave, bewildered and somewhat frightened, struggled to comprehend the astonishing events he had just witnessed. His gaze fixed on Lola, he noticed something peculiar – a soft pink glow emanating from her back. As Lola turned to face Dave, he couldn't contain his confusion, "Who are you? Weren't you the girl I saw in class today?" Dave stammered.

Lola approached him, radiating warmth, and offered, "You're welcome." She then continued, "I'm an Izigan, just like you, Dave. I share your feelings, and you're not alone."

"I honestly don't like being an Izigan. It makes my life miserable, and I can't bear it any longer," Dave confided in Lola as they walked together towards their respective homes.

Lola gazed up at the sky where Galaxia, located some 500,000 kilometers away from Earth, was faintly visible. At night, traces of its radiant light could be seen. She responded, "There's something I've noticed about the Izigan race. We all have a purpose, and that purpose lies up there in Galaxia."

Lola went on, her voice filled with purpose, "You see, all we know about the Izigan race is that we once caused harm to humanity, but we didn't realize that humans willingly sacrificed themselves to become what we are now. My belief comes from my sister, who was taken up there. She discovered her purpose when she reached Galaxia, where it's a home meant for us Izigans to protect Earth."

Dave pondered Lola's words for a moment and recognized the hope that she had invested in being an Izigan. "Okay," he began, "you think they'll take us there like they did with your sister. The last time they selected Izigans for Galaxia was sixteen years ago. What makes you believe they'll choose us this time? I mean, I want to go up there too, but let's not just dream about it."

Galaxia, Dave knew, was an extraordinary artificial planet, constructed outside of Earth using cutting-edge technology and science. It was often described as a man-made paradise masterpiece. The purpose of Galaxia was to train Izigans in harnessing their cosmic powers so they could continue protecting Earth, recognizing that Earth was still far from safe.

Dave couldn't help but voice his frustrations, "What's my problem? Here on Earth, we're viewed as monsters, and yet, we'll go up there to train and protect the lives of these people who don't even know our names, who treat us like nothing."

Lola offered a different perspective, saying, "No, Dave, actually, we're protecting those we truly care about. You might think you hate them now, but you'll realize deep down, you want to protect them. We're also safeguarding other planets from the Tranamites; they all need saving. We were fortunate to be saved by the Izigans, the same alien species that humans today push away. The Izigans are indeed heroes."

She continued, her voice filled with conviction, "If we stay here, trying not to be Izigans, we'll perish without fulfilling our purpose. Why not use the incredible abilities within us to save the world? That's our purpose, Dave, nothing more. That's what makes us special. And remember, if the Tranamites once attacked Earth and failed, what makes you think they won't return?"

So, we're eventually going to Galaxia someday to train and become full Izigans," Dave pondered.

Lola nodded with determination, "Yes, to protect Earth and other planets too. We'll become explorers and warriors. Galaxia will be our home; there are no threats there now."

Dave's thoughts drifted back to the Izigan who had died in his arms when he was just a child. He realized that despite the hate he felt from some on Earth, the planet was worth saving. "But my mom," Dave expressed with concern, "I wish she could come too. I can't just leave her here on Earth."

Lola reassured him, "I'm quite sure that's what your mom wants for you. She would understand; it's your destiny."

After their long walk, they reached the point where they had to part ways. Dave headed straight towards his house, waving goodbye to Lola, who did the same as she went on her way.

Upon arriving home, Dave hurried inside and headed towards his room upstairs. "Mom, I'm home!" Dave called out. There was a prolonged silence from Dave's room, and he began to feel a sense of unease. "Hmm, maybe she's asleep," Dave thought, deciding not to disturb her and proceeding to his room.

Unbeknownst to Dave, his mother lay in her room, her skin marked with a deep, red line that had torn into her. She was barely able to move, trapped in an unsettling silence.

Lola arrived home, fully aware of what awaited her. She cautiously cracked open the front door, and her father promptly swung it wide open, as though he had been eagerly awaiting her return.

"Where have you been, and why are you coming back at this hour?" her father demanded, his tone harsh and demanding. Lola chose to remain silent, not offering any response.

Lola had lost her mother to a Tranamite attack in india. Her father was American, and after her mother's death, they had moved to Washington, D.C. Ever since then, her father had become a distant and unrelenting presence in her life.

Her mother had been an Izigan, deeply committed to her mission on Earth, hunting down hidden Tranamites. She rarely had time for her family, yet, under the cover of night, she would secretly visit Lola, away from her husband's knowledge. Lola's father had harbored a strong dislike for his wife's dangerous mission, and her sudden demise during a battle against a Tranamite in India had only intensified his bitterness.

Lola's father was a renowned miner, and much of his success was owed to his daughter Lola. Her unique tinkering ability allowed her to craft a radiant, pink-hued mass and shape it into incredibly powerful objects, surpassing the capabilities of the mining equipment they used. She had been immensely helpful, but Lola couldn't help feeling that her powers were being exploited. Nevertheless, she continued to use her abilities, driven by her love for her father, even if it seemed unreciprocated.

"Get ready, we have mining to do tonight, and it's where the signal is coming from. We'll need some of your powers," her father declared.

Lola, without uttering a word, went into her room, dressed quickly, and joined her father. Together, they headed to the mining site.

Upon arrival, they found themselves deep underground, where significant progress had already been made. The miners were pleased to see Lola; her presence meant the work would be considerably easier. The underground hollow resembled the construction of an underground rail, but a massive obstacle blocked their path. They required Lola's abilities to force open what they believed was a substantial opening on the other side of the obstruction.

One of the miners explained the situation to Lola, and she knew precisely what needed to be done. With determination, she made her way to the end of the tunnel, where the blockage lay.

Lola's tattoo, encircling her hand and extending towards her back, began to emit a radiant pink glow. Without warning, enormous pink butterfly wings unfurled from her back, signifying her readiness for the task at hand. She gently touched the wall in front of her and began channeling her powers into it, causing the entire area to tremble. The miners, gripped by terror, feared they might be buried alive as the ground shook beneath them.

Amidst the chaos, Lola's father cried out from behind her, desperately trying to reach her. But Lola remained steadfast, her concentration locked onto the wall, with images of her mother flashing before her eyes. The ground continued to shake, resembling a mild earthquake.

"Lola, you have to stop! You'll kill us all!" her father implored, as he closed the distance between them, though he was surprised that Lola seemed unaware of his presence.

Then, in a sudden and dramatic turn of events, the entire wall in front of her collapsed, revealing a deep hollow. Tiny, crystal-like lights began to emerge from the cavity. Though it was somewhat deep, they could all see the ground. Some of the miners cautiously approached the site and discovered a Tranamite ship buried there since the war. It appeared to have crashed and become buried over time.

The miners eagerly retrieved their flashlights and began examining the mysterious ship. However, what most of them coveted were the radiant, glowing crystals surrounding the vessel.

As the events unfolded around the Tranamite ship, Lola began to sense something peculiar in the area. Her Izigan mark glowed with a vivid pink hue, signaling that something was amiss. Unbeknownst to the miners, an unseen presence lurked inside the ship, observing their every move.

Meanwhile, in the Mount Everest region of Nepal, Belle, John, and Dorothy were on a quest to find their kidnapped friend and Belle's sister. The heavy snowfall forced them to bundle up in thick clothing to shield themselves from the bitter cold. Belle, distinguished by her blue Izigan status, possessed the unique ability to manipulate frost, ice, and snow.

"Belle, see if you can sense anything from here," John, her older brother, requested. Although he wasn't an Izigan, John's intelligence and knack for crafting gadgets and weapons made him a valuable member of the team.

Belle knelt down, touching the ground and using her powers to detect hidden places beneath the snow. She responded, "I can't sense anything from here, but I did find a shelter where we can rest. It's just over there." She pointed in the direction of their destination.

Soon, the trio reached a small shelter, a snow cave where they could take a break. John distributed a meager portion of bread to each of them as they waited. While Belle sat alone, lost in thought about her missing sister, John moved closer to her, concerned for her well-being in this challenging quest.

Look, Belle, we're not losing her this time. Remember what you said about giving up? You're not giving up, are you?" John reassured her.

Belle responded, her determination unwavering, "I haven't given up, John, why would I? But whoever took her is no ordinary person. I sensed some unusual movements in the snow, but after a while, it faded so quickly, and all I could feel was some kind of unusual waves pointing in no direction."

John's voice softened as he tried to calm Belle, saying, "Just calm down and breathe. You were born an Izigan for this very reason – to protect those we love. Feel the snow, be the snow."

While this conversation unfolded, Belle listened intently and once again touched the snow. After a considerable amount of time, she sensed an unknown depth from a far distance beneath the ground.

"Dorothy, can you get us there? Just follow my signal," Belle instructed.

"That would be easy," Dorothy replied confidently.

Dorothy created a massive green glowing circle on the ground beneath them. They all stepped onto it, and suddenly, they vanished. Moments later, they reappeared in a different location, which they believed to be the hideout. Belle entered her frost state, her eyes and hair turning white, and her Izigan tattoo glowing a brilliant blue.

"They're coming," Dorothy announced, preparing for whatever lay ahead.

The armed men, clad in white, approached with their weapons at the ready. Without hesitation, Belle seized control of a massive frost mass and propelled it towards them, striking with a powerful thrust attack. The frost quickly enveloped them, freezing and incapacitating them in their tracks. But more men arrived, firing their weapons toward Belle and her chilling onslaught.

Belle continued to move swiftly, running on her own frost, and striking down the armed assailants as they attempted to mount a counteroffensive. Meanwhile, John and Dorothy were making their way deeper into the hideout. John took the lead, his pace swift, and Dorothy cleared the path ahead. John utilized his weapons to defend himself against any attackers they encountered along the way.

They encountered a formidable metal door, but Dorothy summoned a massive green circular mass that sent the armed men flying, creating a path for them to progress. Soon, they breached the hideout and began searching. John donned his X-ray goggles and meticulously examined each metal door and wall until he detected something unusual. He retrieved his laser and started cutting through the wall.

Dorothy stood behind him, holding off the advancing men, pushing them away with her powers. John successfully cut through the wall, revealing Sofia lying almost unconscious within. "We've got her," John announced.

"Then let's get out of here. We don't have much time!" Sofia urgently exclaimed. John carefully carried Sofia, but they were fully encircled by the armed men. In this dire situation, Dorothy began to sense an unusual presence in the area. Realizing the imminent danger, she enveloped everyone in a protective green mass and tore through the building, aiming for the exit at the top.

Belle remained in her frost state, battling the remaining men outside. She continued to freeze and incapacitate most of them until she finally defeated them. As they regrouped, prepared to make their escape from the arena, an unexpected danger emerged. Someone unleashed a formidable void force towards them, striking dangerously close. The force sent all of them flying in different directions.

Dorothy, quick on her feet, managed to gather everyone back to the same location. However, Belle attempted to launch an attack at the source of the threat, but Dorothy intervened.

"Belle, this is no ordinary person. I can sense an immense dark energy emanating from him. He's not someone we should be dealing with," Dorothy cautioned.

Dorothy stood up, determined, and approached the mysterious figure in the black hood. Suddenly, the man unleashed a powerful mass of purple and black energy, and Dorothy used her own powers to block it, causing the green and the black-and-purple energies to collide violently in the air.

"Get behind me!" Dorothy shouted towards Belle and John as she faced the enigmatic assailant, ready to confront this formidable adversary head-on. Belle and John exchanged glances, uncertain about their next move.

The clash between their powers generated a tremendous force, causing the wind around them to intensify. "Please, you have to get behind me now! We don't have much time!" Dorothy urgently pleaded as the situation grew increasingly dangerous. After some hesitation, Belle and John, who was still carrying Sofia, retreated behind Dorothy.

Seizing the opportunity, Dorothy harnessed her cosmic abilities and created a portal that swiftly engulfed them, spiriting them away from the looming threat. In the wake of their departure, the void powers erupted in a cataclysmic display of force.

As they emerged on the other side, far from the danger they had left behind, Dorothy marveled at the unknown power that had confronted them. "What was that power? It could neutralize my abilities as though she does it all the time," she wondered aloud. Meanwhile, the unknown man clenched his fist in anger as he watched them escape, his mysterious motives still veiled in secrecy.
