By choosing to make my weapon a shield, there was only one option among the numerous "Engage" weapons surpassing the number of heroines.

An SR weapon, the "Midnight Aegis."

Although its rarity isn't particularly high, for a shield with the dark attribute, there were no other contenders.

In fact, among all rarities, there are only four shield weapons, and SSR is the highest rarity for shield weapon cards. Furthermore, the SSR is an light attribute, so it's not ideal for me, being of the dark attribute.

Therefore, inevitably, the only choice for me to obtain was the "Midnight Aegis."

That's right. The "Midnight Aegis" was a weapon card obtainable in the limited-time event in "Engage."

While Midnight Aegis(same weapon name) was an event boss, the real star of the event was the raid boss, the magical beast "Yeti." Consequently, the strength wasn't that impressive. Additionally, the rarity of the obtainable weapon cards was somewhat lackluster, so I collected it but never used it.

Well, the convention is that UR and other top-tier cards are only available through premium gacha.

However, with my current battle style, I believe there is no better weapon. Along with the physical and magical defence bonuses from the weapon, it also had a unique skill "Annex."

For someone like me who focuses solely on defence, this skill is the best. It allows long-range attacks with the dark claws while in a defensive posture. Besides, except for bosses, it has instant death effects and item drop robbery.

Moreover, with Elysion boasting magic attack power on par with Raphael once it maxes out, the attacking power is quite promising.
