Zorvax and Ophelia found themselves enveloped in the shadowy expanse of the dome's interior, a stark contrast to the desolate world outside. The dome was vast, its ceiling arching overhead, and its corridors branched out like the veins of a massive beast.

As they tread softly along one of the dimly lit passageways, Zorvax's keen ears picked up the distant echo of footsteps. He paused, holding up a hand for Ophelia to stop. His gaze darted around, searching for a quick hideaway.

"There," he murmured, spotting an oversized ventilation grate a few feet away. With swift movements, he pried it open, gesturing for Ophelia to follow him into the dark recess.

Ophelia, without a word, slipped into the vent after Zorvax, her movements silent and agile. The space inside was surprisingly roomy, a testament to the scale of the dome's construction.
