Kapitel 436: Returned To Her Life

Eve felt her head was splitting apart when she woke up. It took her a few seconds to see clearly. But she was surprised that she was not in the church anymore.

She was lying in a soft bed in a tent. Damien was sitting on her left side and reading an old book with a strong scent of leather and worn out parchments.

She stared at him with longing. How much time had passed! Could it be that she was watching a dream? As if he noticed her gaze, Damien turned to look at her but he did not move like her. They both kept staring at each other until he found his voice.

"How are you feeling now?" There was hesitation in his voice but she did not pay much attention to it as she was confused already.

"How did I come here? Did Abrharam kick me out because I refused for the last ceremony?" She looked around again and tried to sit up.

Damien held her hands and helped her. He could feel her pulse. It was normal again. And the way she spoke did not hold power either.
