Kapitel 89: A Sweet Torture

"Did you drink again? Or is it the candles?" he went hurriedly and sniffed but they were common wax candles with nothing different. His eyes scanned the room and he did not find anything out of the ordinary except her… good god! Why was she wearing that robe?

"We are supposed to sleep together tonight." she stated as a fact with no emotion in her voice but he paused. His ears felt hot and his whole body burnt at once. He loosened his cravat as if he was strangled by it.

"We are sharing the room daily. Yes." That was it. He reminded himself of the fear he had noticed in her eyes last night. She had been ill treated and he would make sure that Harold would not be able to use the thing between his legs for that.

But that was also a harsh reminder that he could not force her. Not until she had passed that trauma and was ready for him. Or else.. He would be the second name in the long list of men who had hurt her.
