The explosion gave the vampires in front of them some trouble, but it didn't reach those on their sides.
However, they also became blind because of the dust and weren't moving.
"HAAA!"
But that didn't last long.
From the dust cloud, a woman with extended arms knocked Speedy to the ground and tried to bite his neck.
Dio walked towards him, but he couldn't get there before two more vampires attacked him while biting his calf and shoulder.
"Επικαλούμαι το κρύο της θλίψης του ποταμού Κωκυτός!"
(I Summon the Cold of Wailing from the River Cocytus!)
The black mist is expelled from his body to freeze the two vampires.
When they moved forward, their teeth broke easily, and the vampire that had been attached to his back exploded into small pieces of ice as it hit the ground.
Dio then focused the black mist on his blade with a quick movement.
He released a crescent moon-shaped black blade that hit the vampire on top of Speedy to freeze her.
He was quick and got up to break it.
"We have to move!"
Dio said to him after hearing more footsteps approaching.
"Can you teleport us up?"
"It might be even worse up there; I don't know how things are. I only know that the fight is still going on. If I teleport, I could end up with the enemy and maybe kill our new ally.
"I have an idea."
Dio touched his shoulder and used the shadow movement.
They show up in the public bathroom with white floors, stalls on one side, and urinals on the other.
The room smelled awful because the urinals were broken and water was all over the floor.
This was the place Andrew was thrown into a while ago.
Dio came here on a hunch and was relieved to be correct.
They will have to come only one way since this place only has one entrance, which is the hole in the wall.
"Now we're trapped!"
Speedy didn't share his joy.
"σηκωθείτε!"
(Rise!)
The ground in front of them has four skeletons the size of adults rising up.
Unlike the others Dio usually summoned, these four are armed with rusty swords and have a faint gray aura around their bodies.
They are intelligent, like the skeleton he fought in the underworld, but lack strength and endurance.
They are the peak of summoning that he can currently perform.
The hole in the wall is being approached by bright red eyes looking at them hungrily.
"Grab the electric arrows."
Dio told Speedy, who nodded after looking at the wet floor.
"Will it work?"
Speedy asked.
Their targets are not humans, and it's unknown if vampires are resistant to electricity.
"In the worst-case scenario, it will stop them for a few seconds, which is already a lot."
The first vampires enter through the hole, and the four skeletons move after his command to attack.
The vampires weren't intimidated by the skeletons; one of them managed to hold the arm of a skeleton before it lowered its sword.
There is one skeleton next to the one that was being held, and it stabbed the vampire in the stomach.
This made it lean forward, which freed the one it was holding.
After being released, it swung its sword while cutting the vampire's head in half.
The other two skeletons are also fighting against two more vampires.
After seeing what happened to their comrade, the vampires realized that their enemy was not as weak as it seemed.
They managed to tear off one of the skeleton's arms and destroy the skull of the other.
When the vampire's punch destroyed the skeleton's skull, the gray energy inside it spread over its hand like glue.
The ectoplasm Dio used to enhance the summoning is in its physical state.
It didn't hurt the vampire because this kind of energy is only for killing ghosts and other supernatural beings.
With a thought, the slime walked along the vampire's shocked arm and entered its nose on the other side of the room, since this energy was Dio's.
The vampire fell to the ground while holding its head and then began to convulse until it stopped and turned into dust.
It was scary, and all Dio did was send a telepathic order to kill the victim, and everything was all instinct.
The vampires weren't scared by these deaths; they started to come in through the hole again, but this time they did it more efficiently.
After realizing this, Dio has his skeletons take a few steps back.
Shortly after, thirty vampires are now in the bathroom.
"I don't have many arrows."
Speedy groaned beside Dio at the sight.
Dio was about to attack when he felt a familiar magical energy coming from his back.
Dio looked behind him and saw a black portal on the wall, from where Raven appeared, with her eyes glowing.
"Sorry for the delay."
Raven said.
"The pipes on the wall, Raven, shoot for them!"
Dio quickly explained his plan because there was no time for talking.
Raven looked to the left, where only destroyed urinals.
She raises her hand and then pulls it down.
The pipes in the walls were torn open with her black energy, and the water poured out on the vampires.
"HaHaHa!"
A bald vampire in front of them laughed.
"We're not in a movie, you fools. We are not vulnerable to water."
Speedy beside him had already pulled out the two arrows to shoot.
"How about electricity? Are you immune to that too?"
Speedy asked before firing.
"Επικαλούμαι το κρύο της θλίψης του ποταμού Cocyte!"
(I Summon the Cold of Wailing from the River Cocytus!)
Dio froze the water at their feet before the arrow hit the ground. He knows that ice doesn't conduct electricity.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
The vampires screamed in pain as Dio drew his sword.
...
Robin dodged the vampire by jumping to the left while driving his metal staff into the ground, pushing himself to the left, and kicking the vampire's head to the right.
On his side, Kid Flash repeatedly moved his two hands into small tornadoes that he used to scatter the vampires away.
"I'm already starting to miss Raven!"
Kid Flash shouted while dodging the vampire at super speed and hitting him in the face.
"Stop complaining!"
Robin shouted and threw an explosive batarang on the ground to gain more space.
Their fight started almost at the same time their friends were surrounded and fell into the underground.
Their current task is to prevent the vampires from spreading even more from the location, which will stop the infestation.
However, they are making a very serious mistake.
Robin and Kid Flash are not killing their targets, so they surely will lose.
Starfire and Aqualad know this very well.
In the air, Starfire shoots her startbolts on the ground.
The starbolts are like high-powered lasers to the vampires; they only need to touch their skin lightly for the vampire to explode into a cloud of dust.
Aqualad jumped in front of a group of zombies about to break into an apartment with his two water bearers and glow-blue tattoos.
With his water bearers in the form of two swords, he cut off three vampires with a spinning motion and stabbed the fourth vampire in the heart.
One vampire manages to pass him; all that is on his mind now is the food.
Aqualad spun his body, transforming one of his swords into a water whip that wraps around the vampire's ankle, knocking him to the ground.
One vampire managed to pass him.
Aqualad spun his body around while turning one of his swords into a water whip that hit the vampire in the ankle and knocked him down.
Aqualad spun his body around, threw the caught vampire at the enemy coming from behind, and knocked them both down.
This was his second sword. The whip turned into a long spear, which he used to stab both of them in the heart on the ground.
"I'm sorry."
Aqualad apologized after looking at them turning into dust.
"BOOOM!"
On the other side of the street, Robin exploded a car with one of his explosives to escape death.
The explosion caused the deaths of two vampires; the other jumped from the flames of the car with his body still on fire.
Robin let himself fall, then lifted one leg and used it to throw the burning vampire away.
When he stood up, he spun his body, threw his Collapsible Bō Staff, and hit the forehead of the vampire on fire, who fell to the ground unconscious.
Kid Flash saw the man on the ground who was on fire and ran around him to put out the flames.
Kid Flash stopped running when he saw half of the man's face was on fire.
He froze for a second, long enough for the vampire to grab his leg and throw him to the ground on his back.
"Let go of me!"
Kid Flash shouted desperately to push his body with both hands with all his strength to prevent the vampire's mouth from getting closer.
"HAAAAA!"
Suddenly, the vampire screamed in pain, and his spine straightened.
On his back, two birdarangs pierced his flesh but missed any vital organs.
Robin shot his Grappling Gun to wrap it around the vampire's neck with his cord and pull him off his friend.
Then Robin stood up as fast as he could and landed several punches on the vampire's face until he fell to the ground unconscious with a bleeding face.
"Starfire, we need backup here!"
Robin requested help.

He felt like trash after giving that order.
He knew he should go all out but couldn't, so he called on the one who would wash his hands.
Robin has never felt so dirty before.
Starfire controls the vampires in this portion of the city, but many have escaped by turning into bats or other animals due to their numbers.
A few of the three hundred vampires at the start went to the subway, and the other one hundred ran away to leave them to fight the rest.
Starfire alone was containing them by flying around the perimeter and firing relentlessly.
After being called, Starfire went into free fall while landing right in front of the vampires attacking Robin and Kid Flash.
She spun her body and landed a punch in the face of one of them.
When her energy-wrapped hands hit the vampire's head, the head exploded into dust, and the body followed seconds later.
The sun weakens vampires, but the concentrated solar rays of the starbolts are fatal to them.
When Starfire touched the ground, she did not hesitate and began a total attack, killing more than five vampires in the first few seconds.
The vampires tried to sneak up on her by using the cars on the street to get to her blind spot.
Still, Starfire fired at them before they could attack.
The starbolts pierced the car windows and hit their bodies head-on.
"Where is the League?"
Aqualad asked while approaching his friends and dodging their attackers.
"I just received the news that twenty cities across the country are being attacked simultaneously. We're on our own!"
Robin replied.
Robin looked at everyone. He was glad none of his friends got hurt, but he knew he couldn't win this fight right now.
"We have to find a way to level the playing field,"
Robin said and looked around.
He was under pressure until he looked up and saw that thick clouds hid the sun.
"Starfire, fly up there and blow up those clouds!"
Robin shouted.
"Right away!"
Starfire replied, and she flew as fast as she could.
Starbolts are not only used as energy beams; they can also be concentrated and thrown like grenades.
Starfire only used the first option because the explosion was difficult to control.
Starfire's green energy forms a circle around her fists in the sky. She moved both hands and threw these two energy balls at the clouds.
The two energy balls crash into each other in the sky and explode in a bright yellow flash.
This made a hole in the sky through which the sun shone and covered the whole street below.
The vampires below shrank as if they were in pain as soon as the sun illuminated them.
There were others who started to run while looking for any dark place they could find.
"They are weak, let's stop them."
Robin said
Now that they were weaker, it was really possible.
After a few minutes, there are over twenty vampires sitting on the ground in the afternoon sun and tied together by various metal ropes.
"All done, boss,"
Kid Flash said after running several times around the prisoners to check the restraints.
"I've contacted the authorities; they will send people soon,"
Robin informed.
"We have to go help the others in the subway."
Starfire was floating in the air while looking at the hole in the ground where the others fell.
...
Speedy was so tired that he fell to the bathroom floor and stayed there while panting.
He is badly hurt and has cuts all over his body, and his clothes are almost completely torn.
When the arrows ran out, he used his bow as a stick to fight multiple vampires until it broke, and he found an iron bar and used it as a weapon.
The iron bar is also by his side now.
Raven is unharmed because any vampire threatening her was thrown across the bathroom or crushed by the energy crow she summoned.
Dio suffered some damage as they were alone in the middle of the chaos.
The most severe injury Dio suffered was in his neck, where there is now a straight cut from one side to the other.
A lucky vampire managed to scratch his nail, but he was killed shortly afterward.
The public bathroom where we are has undergone many changes.
The large amount of dust from the vampires' bodies and the water from the pipes they destroyed turned into mud.
In this mud, anyone can see some bones from the skeletons Dio summoned; they served their purpose perfectly.
The ceiling lights and wall tiles were both destroyed.
The only light in the place now is the ten-centimeter hole in the center of the bathroom that goes up to the surface.
They won the battle, but there's no reason to celebrate.
"Come on, we have to go after our vampire and his crazy woman."
Dio said and went to Speedy to help him up.
Surprisingly, he accepted his gesture without saying anything or giving him a mocking look.
"How?"
Raven asked with confusion.
"One of the vampires is on our side."
Dio explained.
The three of them walk slowly out of the bathroom.
The metro station is empty, with the train stopped and its doors open, but the bodies are gone.
Dio didn't know how many vampires died, but he was sure some of them were still with their leader.
"Did you sense anything?"
Dio asked Raven.
"Pain and loneliness over there."
Raven pointed to the tunnel.
They walk slowly and descend onto the train tracks and into the tunnel.
Leaning against the tunnel wall, Andrew is sitting shirtless, wearing only simple black pants, with an axe buried in his heart.
This wound would kill any ordinary vampire, but he's still alive and conscious.
Andrew is leaning against the wall of the tunnel and sitting with an axe buried in his heart.
"You're alive,"
Speedy said it without much enthusiasm.
"She escaped..."
Andrew's voice was weak and low.
Dio helped Speedy lean against the wall and crouch down beside him to get a better look at his injuries.
The axe is deep, and there are other severe wounds all over his body, including his neck.
"We need to get help for you."
Dio said to him.
"I have a friend nearby..."
Andrew managed to say.
"We should go after the crazy one."
Speedy suggested.
"No need; we know where she'll be, Speedy."
Raven drew their attention.
She raises her hand, and a black light shines like a lantern while pointing to the wall further ahead.
There's a message written in blood.
"Of course, she's heading there."
Dio sighed after reading the message.
"We'll see you in Gotham, My Love!"
