Kapitel 53: Chapter 054 - Burundi's Secret

After Johnsan finished searching the black man's body and removed the space ring from his hand, the four aliens stood up and moved their forelimbs together with their tailbones, instantly disintegrating the black man's body into pieces and stirring it together with the bodies of the alien cubs and the three ground bears. Watching the pile of broken flesh begin to melt with smoke under the blood of the alien hatchlings, Johnsan straddled the back of one of the aliens and leapt into the bushes, while several other aliens lurked around him with a tacit understanding.

There was silence in the woods to the north, and in the middle of the day a group of men stepped out, cautiously looking around as they went.

Johnsan hid behind the bushes and forests, his eyes looked through the gaps, but he recognized the man in front of him who was carrying a sword, it was the stall owner who had bought the hide of the level 7 magical beast, the Brute Force Giant Scarlet, when he first arrived.

He was followed by four men, a middle-aged wizard, an older warrior, a female cleric who looked to be around forty years old in a white dress holding a silver rod, and an older man in gray robes, who also wore no blades or magical staffs, and whose occupation Johnsan couldn't fathom.

"Huh, what's that?" That stall owner was the first to notice the green smoke.

The five instantly spread out, the stall owner and the warrior withdrawing their long swords and standing left and right, the red crystals on the magic staff in the wizard's hand began to glow, and the silver rod in the priestess's hand flew out a few red rays of light that projected onto the two warriors.

Among the five, the gray-robed old man was the only one who didn't move.

It was obvious that this was not the first time they had acted as a group, and they worked extremely well together.

"Mindfire!" Johnsan's pupils contracted.

Senior Priests are a chickenshit, but if you advance to Master level, you can unleash Mind Fire, which boosts a warrior's fighting power and defense against certain attacks.

Just like other professions, priests also have their own rank class, beginner, middle and high level three can only release holy light healing spells, master priests have an extra mind fire, and holy priests mind fire has a stronger additional ability, when they advance to god priests, then they will have an extra skill to dispel magic, which can dispel magic effects within a certain range.

Priests have little killing power against humans and most creatures, but they are much stronger against creatures of darkness and undead as well as summoned creatures. Even a senior priest's holy light healing spell can do powerful damage to mid-ranked undead creatures, but any junior warrior can easily hit a senior priest.

"It seems to be an extremely corrosive poison." That stall owner and the other warrior watched from afar and looked at the gray-robed old man in unison.

"Nothing to see, let's go." The gray-robed old man flicked his long sleeve and walked towards the south, and the other few people were busy following.

Johnsan hid in the shadows and never moved, well water does not offend river water, the other party did not mess with him, naturally nothing happened to each other. Seeing a group of people disappeared in the southern forest, he then walked out.

After a moment of searching, Johnsan leapt down to the north on his alien.

The rest of the half day was spent without encountering any high-level magical beasts, it seemed that this forest hadn't been carpet-cleaned much, and there weren't many magical beasts left.

Looking at the sun it was late afternoon, Johnsan washed his face at the creek and ate some random jerky.

In his mental space, he still kept ten spare magical beasts captured from the Falling Moon Mountain Range when he was in THE Locomotive town, there used to be a strange lack of alien eggs that could hatch, now with the original one retained, there were still twenty-nine of them that could hatch, so Johnsan wanted to try to see if the aliens had really evolved.

In the mental space, a fifth level magical beast, a gray otter, was controlled by him to the front of the alien egg, and the face-hugging insect instantly leaped up and adsorbed itself onto the gray otter's face.

The same process was followed, and within a short time, the alien hatchling broke out of the body.

"Fuse the genes of a new species and gain a twenty percent power boost."

"Evolution!" Johnsan clenched his fists in excitement, then fell back into a daze.

Evolution, could it be based on the enhancement of one's spiritual power?

The Alien Queen in the Spiritual Space had not been moving, and those Alien Eggs had existed when the Spiritual Space was opened, meaning that there was no difference between the Alien Eggs before and after the Spiritual Power was raised.

Summoners consume mental energy to summon magical beasts, as well as controlling them to fight, but they themselves only consume mental energy when summoning magical beasts, and when the aliens fight, they don't consume much mental energy at all, and it's all up to the aliens to attack on their own.

If it's a mental limitation, then why was the alien killed by Elvis and yet not one more alien egg hatched?

Why did the Alien's original ability to possess level five magical beasts only increase by ten percent, just like level six magical beasts? The first time the Jumping Bunny and Flame Machine only boosted their bouncing power and flame resistance, indicating that there were still some differences between the different levels of magical beasts that the Alien parasitized.

Why is the evolution of aliens related to mental enhancement again?

A series of questions floated around in Johnsan's mind like bubbles from a small fish in the stream in front of him. He sat there for half a day, but he hadn't come up with anything yet, and he was getting more and more confused.

Johnsan understood that such things could only be worked out on one's own, but one should never ask for advice.

Letting out a long sigh, Johnsan cupped the clear stream and washed his face, standing up to see that the sun was nearing the west, he mounted one of the aliens and ran back the way he came.

Nearing the entrance, he put the alien back and hiked out.

"This man is new, isn't he, so bold to go in alone and still come out alive." When he entered the entrance of the Narrow Valley, Johnsan heard two black-clothed guards who were traveling in pairs discussing.

Ignoring them, Johnsan walked straight out and had just stepped onto the street when he saw a figure blocking his way.

"It's you!" Johnsan looked at Burundi in front of him and asked, "What's the matter?"

Burundi nodded and didn't say anything.

For Burundi, Johnsan subconsciously has some avoidance meaning, this kind of person is not only ruthless, but also has a particularly deep heart, with him, Johnsan is always a little uncomfortable feeling.

On second thought, Johnsan laughed a few bitter laughs in his mind and said to Blondy, "Come on, let's go for a drink." With that, he turned around and headed for the only hotel on the street that had a supply of bloody Anya.

"Hard-hearted? Deep hearted? Who is one's self to comment on others like that now." Johnsan felt something in his heart, and then realized that he didn't seem to be upset.

"Is it possible that after fusing the alien genes and spending time with the aliens every day, he himself has been infected with their bloodthirsty coldness?"

Johnsan rambled on before the two of them stepped through the doors of that hotel, casually ordering some grilled meat and a couple bottles of bloody Anya as he ate and drank, he looked over at Blondie.

"Say, what's up?" Johnsan turned his head for a few moments, the hotel was empty and deserted except for two maids sitting in the doorway chatting.

Blondie looked a little hesitant and drained a glass of red wine in one gulp before saying, "I would like to borrow that Divine Grace Guardian Necklace of yours."

Johnsan froze and asked, "What are you doing here?"

Blondie's face flushed and then turned pale. "I want to challenge someone, and if I have the Divine Grace Guardian Necklace, the chance of winning is more certain."

"Challenge to what?" Johnsan, a bit surprised, asked, "You just got here and you don't look like the type to cause trouble. Who offended you how?"

Blondie buried his head, his face growing pale.

"I came here for him."

"For whom?" Johnsan thought he was about to hear a twisted tale.

Blondie looked up, her eyes full of complexity.

"I come from the Bywater Empire, which you already know. Last time, I refused to explicitly state my identity because I was thinking that we might not cross paths after the Removal Tournament, so naturally I can't hide it from you now."

"I come from the 'Nightmare' Assassin Organization, the Bywater Empire is particularly far away from here, plus our organization has always operated within the boundaries of the Bywater Empire, so you definitely haven't heard of it. My father is the leader of the 'Nightmare' assassin organization, ten years ago, his most capable henchman assassinated him and then fled to the Scarlet Narrows. I didn't come here to learn anything or break through the ranks, I came here to find him. It's been ten years, and the little child in his eyes at the time has become unrecognizable to him, but I still recognized him at once."

"Why did that man assassinate your father?" Blondy said in such extreme brevity that Johnsan couldn't help but ask.

Blondie fell silent, grabbed a bottle of Bloody Anya and poured it into his mouth, but he choked and coughed, and I don't know if it was the Bloody Anya's effect, but his face instantly turned crimson.

"For my mother." Burundi popped out through gritted teeth.

With that said, Johnsan wasn't the type to be without measure and realized that he couldn't pursue this any further. Taking a sip of the Bloody Anya, Johnsan slowly savored the mellowness on his tongue.

"What rank is that man in now?"

"Phantom." Blondie tightened his grip on the bottle, veins showing on his fists.

"You're a Wind Shadow, sounds like he's only one rank above you." Johnsan said, shaking his head and picking up, "How much difference is there between Heaven and Earth with just a glance? Although I don't know much about assassins, I've heard that a Phantom can easily take out three or four Wind Shadows, just like your Wind Shadows can casually take out a few Dark Shadows. Are you thinking that with the Divine Grace Guardian Necklace, you're in control?"

Blondy did not speak, hatred and helplessness alternated in his eyes, while on his face was a deep sadness.

"I can understand how you feel." Johnsan couldn't bear to irritate him any further and said, "It's unbearable to see your enemy dangling in front of your eyes every day. But you have to understand that going to challenge him now is undoubtedly suicide. It's better to endure it first, I heard people say that the Scarlet Narrow Valley is almost like a place where you are allowed to enter and not allowed to leave, and he can't run away, so you'll have plenty of chances in the future."

Burundi was rock-solid silent, not saying a word.

Johnsan was also silent.

The two maids, perhaps sensing the somewhat oppressive atmosphere on their side, glanced at each other and withdrew their whispers.

"Thank you." Blondie's hoarse voice rang out, then rose and bowed to him, turned and walked out.

"That's fucking life." Johnsan got inexplicably annoyed and stood up to pay for his overpriced drink and headed outside.

"Kid, stop."

Not many steps out of the hotel, Johnsan heard someone shouting behind him and didn't care at first.

"Kid, talking about you, fried chicken that kid, stand still."

Upon hearing this, Johnsan reacted to the fact that he was being shouted at, and busied himself with looking back to see that it was the apothecary Onina who had hurriedly walked over.

"Hello Mr. Onina." Johnsan perked up and smiled, "What did you want to see me about?"
