Kapitel 101: Chapter 101

"Unbelievable!" Cornelius exclaimed. He was the first to react to Valaine's preposterous condition. She was deliberately making it impossible to accede to her demands. Cornelius was just a pawn in Valaine and Uncle Eldritch's sick games.

"You asked me to behave, yet our guests have no manners themselves?" Cornelius complained to Wivior. 

"Listen, lady," Cornelius turned to Valaine. "I'm a prince. People serve me. You are out of your mind to demand me as your servant. You can't afford me with all the wealth of the skies and earth combined. Bear that in mind the next time you open your mouth."

"A prince of what land?" Valaine queried.

"You have no right to ask me questions after your ridiculous demands. We are better off without such a haughty guest at the wedding. Return to where you have come from if you're not prepared to lower your expectations," said Cornelius, vexed.

The tables had turned quickly. Valaine was the one smirking now.
