Nix motioned for the last three speakers to come forward; he wanted to end the interrogation quickly. It was obvious that most of them were lying. Among the last three, there were two maids and one guard.

The first to speak was the guard. He followed the protocol of greetings and started, "I was going back to my duty post after answering the call of nature when I heard from the kitchen two persons arguing about something, then I heard a loud crash. I didn't proceed to check, but I heard someone scream a name.The name I heard was Bareea." The guard bowed when he was done talking.
