Kapitel 35: A night Conversation.
Kane walked beside Punk from the stairs with only three steps. And ignoring the thick blood still flowing on the ground, he sat on the floor. When his armor touched the ground, it made a crisp clanging noise which was very noticeable in this silent, dark, and bloody night.
Taking out a bottle of ale from out of no where, Kane sat on the ground and took a big gulp. Regardless of whether Punk was listening or not, he said in an indifferent tone:
"Hey! Do you think our lovely princess can win? "
"The walls of Konola City have been riddled with holes."Punk's answer was not so much as a response to Kane but to himself.
He narrowed his eyes at the wall that had been damaged by two official-level powerhouses during the day. Now, the hole in the wall was covered by vines summoned by McNeesey. It was like a piece of green plaster was pasted on the blood-stained ancient city wall. It was looking very awkward.
"There is not much food in Konola."
Punk pointed at the refugees who were now homeless under the city wall due to their houses being destroyed by falling rocks during the fight of official mage. His voice was flat and indifferent, without any ups and downs.
"The enemy has the support of the whole Camos Kingdom."
Punk looked up at the enemy camp in the distance.
"But If you can change the "lovely princess" to an "official-level princess," then there are still some possibilities to win!" Finally, Punk concluded with a bit of sarcasm.
Oh~" Kane stood up and lazily stretched his waist while complaining:
"But I haven't got the Royal Fighting Skill yet, and cleaning these trashes is really easy, I can't just run away in disgraces without even getting my pay, right?"
Kane placed his lance heavily on the ground, letting the lance's tip sink deep into the city wall, and leaned against the wall stack, gazing up at the beautiful starry sky.
"It doesn't matter! If our official mage wants the princess to survive, he has to take action tonight. Otherwise, if the enemy launches a desperate attack on the city tomorrow, even if Mage McNeesey can hold off Commander Lunka indefinitely, our ordinary soldiers won't be able to block others."

And after gracefully walking near the princess, he performed a flawless aristocratic etiquette and held his hand out with the flower in front of the princess and said- "Her Royal Highness Princess Nesa, who is as beautiful as the Moon, this humble Knight Kane devoutly offering this flowers to congratulate you in advance of your inevitable victory."
Kane, who didn't let the armor make any sound from beginning to end, handed the flowers to the princess in an elegant posture. The scene was filled with a romantic atmosphere and demeanor for a while!
"Thank...thank you..."
Princess Nesa obviously hadn't encountered such a situation before. Her Royal Highness, who was initially very serious, but now she appeared like a bashful young girl, her face turning rosy.

Kane, who had to step back into the crowd, received a message from Punk using a short-range communication spell. Mage McNeesey, of course, realized that Punk was using a communication spell, but he wouldn't know the details of the conversation.
"You didn't need to draw so much attention to test McNeesey's relationship with the princess!"
Punk scolded Kane with a cold tone. This guy's dramatic appearance undoubtedly made people notice himself right next to Kane. Obviously, Kane busted his "staying low-key" plan.
"Hahaha~ its not like that. I had some other reason for doing it~."
Kane smirked after hearing Punk's dissatisfaction!
"Oh! let me hear it then."
"I wanted to leave a good impression to the princess, so she would follow me when she is defeated and have to escape, and then I could sell her to that Prince William. It will not be a problem to make a fortune like this!"
Punk understood the deeper meaning behind Kane's words and replied with indifference:
"This plan is too risky, McNeesey may not fall, and we have no knowledge of Prince William's situation, so keep me out of this!"
Punk's answer was decisive and firm!
"It's just a plan. To be honest, I observed the battle between these two great powerhouses during the day."
Kane calmly spoke while pretending like he was listening to McNeesey's speech on the stage:
"That commander Lunka's strength is definitely higher than McNeesey's, At least one level. And there are many other official-level professionals like McNeesey in the Kingdom of Camos. You are afraid for no…~"
"The risk is too great. I will not participate!"
Punk still answered without hesitation and then cut off the communication spell. When it came to knowledge, he was better off than Kane, who had a shortage of trainee-level skills.
His knowledge at the trainee level was still sufficient, so taking big risks for minimal gain wasn't necessary.
