Kapitel 15: Chapter 4: Hard and Soft_4

Fang Han kowtowed again.

His words were not fabricated but were told to him by Bai Haichen.

"Single-horned viper?" Fang Qingxue listened and said, "A hundred years ago, our Fang Family ancestor killed a single-horned viper in Dragon Abyss River. I didn't expect there to be a male and a female pair."

Her eyes gleamed as she glanced at Fang Han's heart, and he felt it contract. The Nine Orifice Golden Pill seemed to stop revolving.

Luckily, Fang Qingxue didn't look closely, and Fang Han had just reached the Realm of Divine Power, which slowed his heartbeat and absorbed the Nine Orifice Golden Pill into his core. Fortunately, her attention was diverted by Fang Han's words; otherwise, the secret of the Nine Orifice Golden Pill would have been discovered.

"The gallbladder of a single-horned viper is a natural spiritual medicine for strengthening and nourishing. You stole five years of learning and managed to cultivate to the Divine Power Realm, which is quite impressive," Fang Qingxue said. "Many core disciples of our Fang Family don't have your luck. However, the gallbladder of a single-horned viper can only elevate you to the Divine Power Realm. To continue cultivating, you'll need a substantial material foundation. Follow me to Yuhua Immortal Mountain and help me feed the spirit beasts there."

As she spoke, Fang Qingxue's body floated and drifted away.

"I finally passed the test!"

Only when he was sure that Fang Qingxue had left did Fang Han stand up and catch his breath. The conversation had been a matter of life and death.

"I didn't expect to pass the test like that..." Fang Han couldn't believe it either - that Miss Fang Qingxue let him go after asking a few questions. "However, this was somewhat expected. With my current strength and status, Fang Qingxue has no reason to question me."

Indeed, in front of Yuhua Sect's true disciple, Fang Han's strength and status were insignificant.

Even kings and imperial edicts were worthless in Fang Qingxue's eyes.

She had no reason to probe deeper.

Of course, Fang Qingxue didn't know that Fang Han possessed the "Nine Orifice Golden Pill" and the "Jiao Fu Huangquan Map." Otherwise, even the ends of the earth wouldn't be far enough to escape.

Relaxing, Fang Han went to sleep.

He slept soundly and hopefully.

His hope was to see what the legendary Ten Gates of Immortal Dao, the Yuhua Sect, looked like.

In the following days, he hurried and traveled nonstop. Fang Family's massive caravan moved eastward through Dragon Abyss Province, Wuling Province, Huayang Province, Taigu Province, Jiuhu Province, and several other major regions. After thousands of miles and a month, they finally arrived at the foot of a vast mountain range.

"This is Yuhua Immortal Mountain, the foundation of my Yuhua Sect." Fang Qingxue announced.

Among the numerous servants, Fang Han looked up and saw endless peaks piercing the sky like vertical arrows. Some of the mountains were adorned with flowers and countless palaces.

Countless waterfalls poured down from the peaks, like a multitude of jade dragons.

The sky was an endless blue, like a blue crystal, perpetually cloudless. The bright sunlight shone down, pure and untainted.

The ancient pines on the hundreds of peaks twined their roots and stretched their branches, exuding an ancient aura.

In the deepest part of the mountain range, in the misty clouds, a colossal Sky City floated like a mirage, making people believe they were in the Immortal Realm.

At first glance, Fang Han was dumbstruck by the Heavenly Palace wonderland-like scene.

A tidal wave of awe rose within him.

"The Immortal Path! This is the Immortal Path! Indeed, the Ten Gates of Immortal Dao are far superior to any royal lineage. My childhood wish was to become a king or marquis in Li Capital of the Great Li Dynasty, wielding power. But now, that wish seems so ridiculous."

Fang Han laughed at his naive ignorance.

Just as the caravan arrived at Yuhua Immortal Mountain,

the cries of immortal cranes echoed to the sky, one after another.

To everyone's astonishment, seven or eight white dots, like arrows piercing the sky, shuttled towards them. At first the size of a fist, they grew to become giant immortal cranes, much larger than cattle, as they approached overhead.

These immortal cranes were majestic, with red heads and wide wings that stirred up whirlwinds. Their powerful talons could pierce through iron and steel.

Even more astonishing, each immortal crane carried a young Daoist in a feather robe on its back.

As the immortal cranes descended, the storm intensified. The fierce wind from their wings knocked people and horses off their feet.

"Not good!"

Fang Han had been leading Thousand Miles Snow at the front, but the sudden appearance of the giant immortal cranes spooked the horse. It neighed loudly and bolted uncontrollably.

"Hey!"

Fang Han sprinted forward, tensed his arm and tried to pull Thousand Miles Snow to a stop.

But just then, the immortal cranes were about to touch down, and Fang Han and Thousand Miles Snow seemed to be on a collision course with them.

"What insolence! You mortals have come to the Immortal Mountain and still dare to charge recklessly? Are you seeking death?"

One of the young Daoists on the immortal cranes saw the situation, glared fiercely, and slapped the crane's head. The immense crane immediately stretched its talons downward and violently grasped Thousand Miles Snow's body.

Simultaneously, another young Daoist on another crane conjured a long, black-gold whip and lashed it towards Fang Han, attempting to lift him into the air.

Fang Han hastily shrank his body, rolled on the ground, and avoided the torrent of the whip.

However, Thousand Miles Snow was caught by the crane's talons, creating several gaping, bloody holes in its back as it writhed in agony and fell to the ground.

Then, the seven or eight young Daoists astride white cranes flew down and landed. The locales stared in awe as the Daoists surveyed them with haughty expressions, like deity statues looking down upon mortal beings. The giant cranes loomed over the people, twice their height and exuding even more imposing power.
