Selena’s POV

I knew what he was talking about, and I just didn't expect him to point it out so starkly. I feel like my brain is buzzing right now. I looked at his Adam's apple and stammered, "I... know."

Charles seemed satisfied with my answer. He reached out and gently tugged at my bra strap, then let go. The strap bounces back down, making a snap on my collarbone. My whole body trembled and my cheeks burned. I felt Charles toying with me, but I couldn't fight it, and I crossed my arms even harder.

Charles pulled the sheet off the single bed and wrapped it around me. Before I knew it, my world was upside down. Charles carried me over his shoulder and out of the servants' room.

"Put me down!" I whispered. I couldn't resist gently pounding Charles on the back with my fist. His shoulders were broad, but hard as diamonds, and they made my stomach churn.

Charles patted my ass. "Quiet!" I felt even more ashamed. I just hope no one on the second floor sees us right now.
