Jaylene had initially thought that her return to Thompson Manor this weekend would be all about confronting the family. She thought the Thompson family had probably brought her back because of the incident with Phoebe crying the night before, intending to challenge and exclude her.

Thus, on her way there, she had already prepared herself mentally; if Old Madam Thompson and Aunt Susanna were going to be unreasonable, she would argue with logic, and worse case scenario would be them not recognizing her.

However, to her surprise, the situation took a dramatic turn. Old Madam Thompson didn't even mention the previous night's incident, and while Susanna Smith had a cold face, she didn't bring up the matter of Phoebe crying either.

As for Phoebe herself, she left without eating lunch after arguing with Jaylene in the courtyard in the morning, most likely angered by the "mad dog" remark.
