Kapitel 92: The Last Breath, The First Bloom
'I can handle myself, but I don't want anyone dying on my watch' Bian looked into his sea of soul, the King Chimera was ready for action. He was a little worried, but he figured that nothing would go wrong, as long as it didn't go berserk.
Bian summoned the King Chimera, a lion with goat horns and a snake for a tail appeared by his side. It was five times smaller than the blood bear but Bian knew it was more dangerous.
[Sacred-blood creature King Chimera (Maturing) (Suppressed)] Space itself seemed to converge on the King Chimera, it could not stay long in the second sanctuaries.
"So you have a pet too, too bad yours is tiny." Mammoth gave a two-dimensional joke. Bian wasn't impressed, so he figured it was time to kill.
"Protect my group," Bian instructed the King chimera. As it took spread its wings and went to the skies, Bian dashed forward to meet Mammoth and the Blood bear.
"What are you waiting for, kill them all!" Mammoth yelled as he brought out a broadsword the size of a door.
Bian avoided the goons who were trying to attack him and went straight for Mammoth. He suddenly lost his footing, and had to lie down flat to avoid getting hit by the broadsword. Mammoth quickly retreated once he saw his strike had missed the target, but Bian wasn't focused on him. He looked towards the blood bear which could manipulate the earth, and jumped towards it.
"You fool, you can't dodge in mid air. Blood bear, smear him to bloody bits" The blood bear stood on its hind legs, rocks floated off the ground, on its body and formed a stone gauntlet on its right paw.
Bian channeled Yin energy in his body for the first time in a while. He countered the swipe of the bear with a kick. There was no shockwave when they crashed but the recoil pushed him back, while the bear remained still. Mammoth frowned once he saw how his goons were slaughtered by the king chimera.
Bian laughed when he saw Mammoth, who looked like had had swallowed a lemon. The wingsiders were superior to the silver tongues in terms of equipment and unity. "Your mighty tree has no roots, just brittle branches destined to snap."
Mammoth was enraged, he bent down low holding the broadsword to one side of his body. 'The dragon charge' Bian recognised the move he was using, he had translated it from the ancient language to the modern one.
"Blood bear, do it!" Mammoth yelled, his gene lock was in full swing as his muscles swelled and he disappeared from the spot. Bian stood still for a moment, then he bent down avoiding the broadsword that had appeared over his head.
Mammoth's eyes widened like saucers once he saw an uppercut coming towards him. The downside of the dragon charge was a split moment of vulnerability after usage. He looked towards the blood bear in shock and disbelief as he saw blood rushing out from its orifice, it had died while standing.
Bian's fist flew towards Mammoth's jaw in a spinning uppercut. The force of his punch was so great that it sent Mammoth's head spiraling into the air, leaving a bloody trail. Both the wingsiders and the silver tongues froze, Bian had killed the brute Mammoth with a single blow.
Suddenly there was pandemonium as the silver tongues tried fleeing, one guy took Zing's crossbow and aimed it at his pursuers. None of the fleeing members got far as the king chimera killed everyone who ran.
The guy with the crossbow screamed and tried shooting the chimera, but Zing had unsummoned the bolts. He panicked and threw the crossbow at the king chimera, who didn't even bother to dodge but growled in anger.
"That's enough." Bian said and suddenly there was calm. The alliance was running low on man power, and they could use the remaining silver tongues so there was no point in killing them anymore.
"We did it!" Richard, the scrawny kid who was injured earlier, jumped for joy. The wingsiders celebrated while the rest of the silver tongues went on their knees. Victory against the silver tongues and they didn't suffer a single casualty.
Bian let out a breath of fresh air, 'Everything went well, and the King Chimera is back to normal.' He looked towards the beast. It was standing still, eyes glowing green. It's snake tail was stretched in front of it, biting Zing in the neck.
"What the fuck!" Bian cursed. He hurriedly unsummoned the king chimera and ran towards Zing. The wingsiders quieted down, as they saw Zing squirming on the floor, black blood leaking from his ears and eyes.
Gyu knelt beside him, while Bian got there a second later. Zing was lying on the floor, secreting black blood from all his orifices, his eyes were opened wide, he was dead.
"What happened!" Gyu shouted his voice mixed with rage and disbelief.
'What happened? The King Chimera was fine, I didn't let it go berserk. Why did it kill Zing.' Bian was lost in thought, he felt a sharp pain in his chest. He had known Zing since he started his quest to become stronger in the sanctuaries.
"There has to be a way." Bian tried revitalizing him with the healing lightning of the silver fox. Thick bolts of lightning fell on Zing causing his body to spasm, but to no avail. His jumpstarted heart, failed again and again as the black venom coursed through his veins.
"He killed him"
"Look at his face, it wasn't planned"
"Shh. He can hear you"
The silver tongues began whispering, their faces mixed with unbelief and fear. The subject of their gossip couldn't hear them though. Bian was in his sea of soul, where the King Chimera was howling and trashing about. One of its eyes turned green while the other remained normal, with tears streaming down from it.
'Damnit, was it the green energy in the mountain' Bian gritted his teeth in anger. He wished he could do something to help, but he was powerless. After a moment or two, the King Chimera managed to gain control of it's body against the evil force. Bian could sense it's intent and he summoned it again as it wished.
Seeing the King Chimera, several people recoiled in fear and backed away. A kneeling member of the silver tongues, Nue Bo, figured he could use the commotion to escape but a wingsider caught him before he could go far.
"Get out of my way!" Nue Bo yelled and stabbed the scrawny kid in the chest, he ran two meters before he collapsed. A black snake extended from who knows where, and bit his neck killing him with venom.
Bian looked towards the King Chimera, which had gone super and he was unsure of what to do. He needed to go and heal Richard before he died, but he was unsure if he should leave the King Chimera unchecked. Before he could react though, the black snake bit Richard and a green light travelled from the King chimera into Richard.
As the snake removed its maw, everyone gasped in shock as they saw Richard stand up looking good as new. The injury from the knife was gone, as well as the bite marks from the fangs of the snake.
"It healed him"
"Then what about Zing?"
Finally, the snake bit Zing and the same green light travelled from the King Chimera into Zings body. Sensing the intent of the King Chimera once more, Bian performed defibrillation on Zing using the lightning of the silver fox.
He spasmed and began a coughing fit. Seeing everyone look at him, he scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "I got something on my face"
"Welcome back to the land of the living you bastard!" Gyu laughed, before giving him a hand. Suddenly the tension in the group decreased, as they all let out a breath of fresh air.
"Whoa, what happened to your veins?" Richard asked Zing, who took a closer looks at his veins, they had changed color to a deep black. Some of the wingsiders scaled up the mountain to claim their spoils of war, while others began to lead the captives back to the camp.
Bian was pre-occupied with the King Chimera which had gone back to his sea of soul. With great mourning it still trashed about struggling to hold control. Bian felt that once it lost control now, it would be gone forever.
'Exit your transformation!' Bian commanded, hoping to help. The King Chimera looked pitiful as a green glow began forming in its belly. The glow got bigger and bigger until it covered it's whole body. The green light travelled down its body through it's snake tail into the skies of his sea of soul.
Bian's heart skipped a beat, it seemed as though the snake tail had the ability to disappear and erase it's presence completely. The immense green light travelled to the damaged Tyrant Minotaur, which stood still in his sea of soul, still damaged.
The entirety of the King Chimera's life force was transferred to the Tyrant Minotaur. Soon a cocoon of black light, with glowing green veins surrounded the Tyrant Minotaur. The body of the King Chimera meanwhile began to fade away as green specks of light, it gave one final sad growl and dissipated completely.

Bian felt a sharp pain in his heart. He had been with the King Chimera--Emperor--Feral Manticore since his early days in the first sanctuary. It hurt him a lot to see it die for no reason at all.
The energy left in the mountain seemed to have possess the will of a strong beast, and it began to take over the body of his beast soul. It became a danger to everyone including Bian himself.
Crack!
Bian heard a crack and the black cocoon pulsating with glowing green veins cracked apart revealing a small minotaur with blue-black fur surrounding its body and jet black horns.

With the last breath of the King Chimera, came the first bloom of a never seen before beast soul. A berserk super beast soul pet.
