Jonathan raised an eyebrow. "Too much?"
Henry changed color and cleared his throat with embarrassment. His eyes narrowed into a line, and he looked like he was asleep.
Henry stroked his nose and said, "Mr. Brown, you… know that she's injured, and you're worried. Why didn't you ask her about it?"
"That would make her think that I was spying on her."
Henry was speechless.
You're on 24-hour standby. It's not spying or what.
Even if you mean her no harm and want to protect her, she'll think that you have crossed the line.
Henry didn't dare to voice his thoughts. Instead, he nodded and said, "Yeah, that's right."
His boss was right about everything.
Jonathan took an indifferent look at him. Henry tensed up, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Well, do I still need to prepare the things as you instructed? They may not be back any time soon."
"Why not?"
There wasn't the slightest hesitation in his voice.
