Before Emma appeared, Aaron was staring at the place where I was hiding, his eyes full of worry. I knew he was worried and wanted to make sure I wouldn't break down. But Aaron and I had to make sacrifices for the sake of the wolf pack. It was the responsibility we had to shoulder as Alpha and Luna.

But when I saw Emma walking to Aaron with a sweet smile, I still couldn't bear the pain that tore through my heart.

Emma's eyes were full of love as she looked at Aaron with near admiration and put her hand on Aaron's arm.

"Look at what you did! You pushed Aaron to her! She is Aaron's mate and will take away his care and love for you! Beth, what exactly are you thinking?" My wolf roared in dissatisfaction. I wanted her to shut up, but I couldn't. I trusted Aaron very much. But seeing him talk to another woman in a gentle tone, I was overwhelmed with jealousy.
