"Huh. Seems like somebody's coming this way. They're not weak, but I don't recognize their energy, either. I didn't think there was anyone left on this planet like that." Vegeta noticed right as he finished wiping the blood off of his face.
...
Raditz had just finished destroying the bodies of the people that Vegeta had killed. He had originally thought of burying them, but these people weren't natives of Namek. It'd just be an insult to lay them to rest beneath the planet's surface, so he incinerated the bodies instead. The ash would live on in the Namekian atmosphere until the planet one day died, then it would scatter throughout the cosmos until it maybe one day reached their home planets.
"Why haven't you killed him yet?" Piccolo asked as he landed in front of Raditz.
"He hasn't stepped out of line. I plan on treating him like an ally until-"
"Until the Dragon Balls are found and he steals the wish?" Piccolo finished for Raditz.
"If he does, he'll die. I promise you, I'll kill Vegeta myself if it comes to it. For now, you should go inside. There should be a few spare sets of battle armor in Frieza's ship somewhere. You should go find a set and wear it. Your clothes are a mess." Raditz told Piccolo. He wasn't wrong. Piccolo's clothing looked awful. It was ragged and full of holes. A section hung free, having been ripped away by some attack or another. But the thought of wearing the uniform belonging to the bastards who had attacked his birth planet made Piccolo scowl. With a wave of his hand, he used the materialization technique to repair his current clothes, ignoring Raditz's suggestion entirely.
"I'm getting a drink." Piccolo decided, marching off into the ship by himself.
Raditz waited outside for a few moments, trying to sense what was happening in the other parts of the planet. He could sense Gohan, Krillin, Nappa, and Hanna flying towards him, having already gotten the Dragon Radar from Bulma and Cargo. He could sense a monstrous energy... Frieza's monstrous energy, pounding a Namek into the ground on the other side of the planet. He could also sense Jeice's energy on the other side of the planet, unmoving. He didn't really care why.
The strange thing was at the spot where Goku had stayed to finish off Ginyu. There was only one energy signature left now, and while something about it did resemble Raditz's brother, it was far too dark and nasty to belong to Kakarot. The man couldn't hurt a fly if it didn't intentionally try to harm him, after all, and his aura reflected that calm and gentle nature, but this aura was violent and even more evil than Vegeta's, especially since Vegeta's aura held very little in the way of malice toward other living beings. Just unwavering pride. This aura, was just sickeningly evil, like the person it belonged to was a delusional nutbar.
After a few minutes, the delusional nutbar came into view, and Raditz's jaw dropped, his guard going up all the way in an instant. Kakarot was flying in towards him, or at least Kakarot's body.
Raditz immediately knew that it couldn't have been his brother. This person looked like Kakarot on the surface, but he was making a face that Kakarot would never have made. When the man in Kakarot's skin stopped a few feet in front of Raditz, Raditz immediately interrogated him. "Where is my brother?!" He asked the bad imposter.
"I'm right here, brother. Don't you recognize me?" False Kakarot answered with mock-indignation, spreading his arms wide as if to prove that he was the real Kakarot. But he wasn't.
"Don't lie to me. Where is my brother?!" Raditz shouted again, his energy going up a notch in response to False Kakarot's lies. But Ginyu dug in.
"It really is me. Don't you recognize all of the battle scars I have from all of the training that I've done in my life!?" False Kakarot didn't have any battle scars. Saiyans healed better than that, but Raditz had had enough of this.
"If you're my brother, then what's five plus five?!" He decided to test False Kakarot.
"Ten." Ginyu answered immediately.
"WHERE IS MY REAL DADDY?!" Suddenly Gohan, who'd just arrived along with Krillin, Nappa, and I, blasted down and landed in front of False Kakarot with a shout.
"How exactly does a basic math question prove that so definitively?!" False Kakarot exclaimed, shocked by how certain Gohan was that his father wasn't right in front of him. He'd stolen Goku's body, after all. The only difference should have been in personality. 'How does a math question show definitively that I'm not this guy?' He couldn't help but wonder. Luckily enough, I was floating nearby enough to answer that question for him.
"Our daddy can't do basic math unless it's on his fingers. Even that question would have taken him like ten minutes." I explained, landing beside Fake Goku.
"For all of Goku's strengths, math is not one of them." Krillin agreed with a laugh, "But he's my friend. Where is he?!" He demanded.
Ginyu let out a laugh. "Guess the jig is up, huh? Sorry, brats, but I killed your daddy."
...
"So, Kakarot's dead, huh?" Vegeta muttered to himself, looking out the exit ramp to the spacecraft, listening in on the others' conversation with this 'False Kakarot.' As he listened, more information became clear, and it annoyed him deeply.
"He had great power. That's for sure, I've never met a being other than a Frost Demon with that much power, but it didn't matter, because his heart was soft." Ginyu bragged. "Due to my incredible intellect, I, Captain Ginyu, was able to steal his body, along with all of his incredible strength, and take it all for myself! Hahahaha! I am now the most powerful being on this planet other than Lord Frieza! Bow before me and I'll make your deaths quick!"
"Oh really?" Vegeta asked, stepping out from the spaceship casually, "I think I'll take the slow, painful death, then."
