We finally arrived in Washington D.C. the next morning. From California to the East Coast should have only taken us a few days' drive, but because I'd needed to avoid numerous monitored roads, it had taken us a week to reach here undetected.
It was evening now as I held bulky binoculars to my gaze. Military vehicles drove past my sight, keen on clinging to the entrance of the most significant military base in the United States.
It was a crowded group of tall structures beside an expansive lake. The kind that was man-made for tourists to post pictures online about. Behind the tall black gates securing the compound, amber rays reflected off the tallest office buildings, and I needed to lean against the dashboard to peer up at how high some of them went. At least fifteen stories.
I just learned only one of my novels can participate in the Mass Releasing event next month (May 2024), so everyone, please consider reading The Prince's Villainous Flower for a mass release on May 12, 2024!
