Scarlet had not expected swift payment but lady Gayle paid up the full amount Esong requested for before leaving the room. When she was gone, Scarlet could not help dazedly staring at her account and counting the figures herself as if to ascertain that the money would vanish with it's generous giver gone. 

"Look at all this money Esong, she didn't even twitch or look pained as she completed the transaction. How rich is she?" 

Esong who was gathering taking the dirty dishes to the sink for washing looked back at Scarlet and laughed. It was as if she was seeing money for the first time in her life. 

"I gave you a billion star coins, why does this little money excite you?" he asked her.
