When seeing Tilon use the shield, there was a churning feeling inside of Rayna. She had mentioned all of the details that Raze had given him, telling him how to use the shield, yet she perhaps hadn't mentioned one of the most important things.

Due to the situation, and the fight at hand, Rayna thought if they didn't use the shield, then they might have lost this fight against Polter.

Raze could no longer fight, Alba was down for the count, and even if they all teamed up with their limited strength, it was unlikely they could take on Polter.

So due to the situation, she had explained how to use the shield but didn't explain the downside to the shield as well.

"There's one more thing I need to tell you." Rayna said as she rushed over; she looked at Polter on the ground confirming his death.
