As soon as we walked into the Chernyshevsky-Coleman mansion we were greeted by the noise of Pa, Dad, Uncle Ed, Uncle Vas, Grandpa Cameron, Grandma Rosa, Malia's giggles, Lia's little screams and of course Eli's sneakers as they played their tune.
Demyan and I smiled at one another as he held Belli to his chest who was wearing a new shirt that I knew would soon be a favourite, denim little jeans, pink converse and her hair tied up into a ponytail. Since she could not read she herself probably had no idea what her shirt said including Lia and Eli who were quick to run to us once we stepped foot through the front door.
"Oh my little babies!" Demyan gently handed me Belli before he scooped his two babies up in his arms as they hugged him tightly. "I hope you haven't eaten all the food in the few hours we've been gone."
"Lia did," Eli giggled as he poked his sister's round little stomach.
