Kapitel 445: Up the basin

Isera rushed up the deserted part of the fortress's second floor located below the main basin. With the battle in its full swing, the space between the walls where the fighting was taking place and Banjay's trap she noticed from above… 

It was empty. 

As weird as it felt to find herself in such a pocket of peace and calm in the middle of all the ongoing slaughter, Isera wasn't going to complain. 

Jump from the height at which those foreigners' strange vehicle was nothing much for a patriarch's ear like Isera, especially now that she got comfortable as a supreme. But if not for this pocket that those foreigners mentioned before advancing above the fortress, Isera could either land right where the battle was most heated or right where the patriarchate's reserves were readying themselves to spring up the trap.
