"This realm is like a jungle, you better eat or get eaten!"
Dina said as she then turned around a left and with that, Aina guarded them into the house.
But Dina wasn't wrong, The Demon realm was known for its ruthless hierarchy and cutthroat nature. Survival was the key to success, and weakness was often exploited by those in power.
Demons fought for territory, resources, and dominance, constantly searching for opportunities to rise in ranks and gain more power.
In this chaotic realm, it was every demon for themselves. The strong preyed on the weak, using cunning strategies and brute force to get ahead.
Surviving in the Demon realm required adaptability and resilience. Demons had to be cunning, constantly scheming and plotting their next move. They had to be ruthless, unafraid to eliminate rivals and step over the fallen to climb the ladder. It was a realm where showing weakness or mercy could be fatal.
However, amidst the chaos and brutality, there were demons who sought to make a difference. They rejected the idea of constant power struggles and sought more peaceful alternatives. They aimed to create a realm where cooperation and understanding prevailed, rather than endless bloodshed.

"By the way, what happened between you and that bull Man, why was he attacking you like that?" Tana seemed to ask that was lingering in Daku's mind.
Hesitating a little, Aina said as she took a seat opposite Tana, "Well he wasn't actually the one who started the attack, I was!"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Well you see… Do you know something called Level Absorption?"
Aina asked as Daku, who was seated by the window, fixed his eyes on them.
"Level Absorption? What's that?" He asked Denchi.
'That's just an old method of becoming more powerful, it was used merely by demons… I wonder how these young elfs know about it,' he replied as they listened attentively to what Aina was saying.
"Level Absorption is a method used by Demons and even Demon hunters nowadays to get stronger by absorbing the life and powers out of their opponent, but now you'll have to challenge your opponent and whoever wins would devourer the other!"
She explained, "Since the Demon lord's death, the Demon Realm has become even more brutal, everyone wanting to be stronger and stronger than the other even if it meant using such techniques to level up!"
Dina cut her short of words as she entered into the room.
"Then why were you fighting with the Bull Man in the first place?"
"Because I needed a potion," Aina began go say, "recently there has been a plague in the west and my father had contacted it, I needed a vaccine, and it can't be gotten easily. Hundred was the name of the Man I was fighting with!"
"He is the leader of one of the head gangs here, and he had access to the vaccine, but he wouldn't hand it over, so I challenged him to a battle and if he wins he gets to devour me and level up, but if I won, he'll hand over the vaccine!"
She explained as Tana nodded in understanding.
"But still, that was dangerous… If Tana and I hadn't shown up, you would have been defeated," Daku said.
"Mn… That's why I owe you two a lot for what you did, thanks a lot!" She said as she bowed her head slightly.
"If you two need anything, my sister and I will happily help you."
"Who says that I'll happily help them, I don't even trust them!" Dina refused.
"You don't need to help us with much, right now, we are in need of a place to spend the night, food, a map and a bit of clothes to wear… We don't think we can go on wearing this!"
Daku said as they looked down on their outfits. They were still dressed in their school's uniform.
"Well you two do need new outfits, you look strange and will totally attract attention and about that human smell of yours… If we don't cover it, the Demons out there might mistake you for Demon hunters and end up hurting you!"
Dina said as she then turned around to leave, "Follow me," she instructed and Tana and Daku looked at themselves briefly before following behind her.

Tana and Daku were given food to eat and new clothes to wear, although the clothes looked weird. It was free and different.
Soon midnight fell and Tana was placed to stay with Aina in her bedroom while Daku stayed in the living room.
Stepping outside, Daku took a seat on the cold ground with the beautiful sky and Denchi alone to keep him company.
'You seem to have a lot in mind, boy, I hope you aren't starting to regret your decision?' Denchi asked as Daku was silent.
"No! I'm not regretting my decision, I was just thinking how many similarities the human realm has in come on with the Demon realm," he said.
'Similarities? Like what?'
"Well, in both realms, we have individuals who are driven by ambition and power. They may sometimes resort to unethical means to achieve their goals, disregarding the well-being of others. But just like here, there are also those in the human realm who prioritize empathy and compassion."
He said, "The Demon realm may truly be like the jungle just as Dina had said, but I'm not going to let go of my conscience all because of power…"
'But sometimes it may not be under our control Daku, Power is like a disease, the more you have the more effects it will have on your conscience and temperament, and you'll begin to change and finally one day forget yourself. Similar to the same thing that happened to me!"
