Kapitel 67: Chapter 67: Bold Pirates!

Pochi was taken aback upon hearing these words, followed by a clear refusal.

"Lieutenant General Kahn, I've already received enough, and I haven't achieved anything significant!"

"The higher-ups have recognized your contributions, and that's final. Don't argue. I'll take care of it for you."

Once again, Pochi was deeply moved by Kahn's words.

"Lieutenant General Kahn!"

"Enough, if you start crying, I'll give you a reason to cry even more by spanking your ass."

Pochi's expression shifted immediately.

Seeing this, Kahn nodded in satisfaction.

"By the way, did you receive any communication from Sengoku?"

"Lieutenant General Kahn, I just sent the report, but we're still waiting for a response from headquarters."

"Very well, you may leave."

"Yes, Lieutenant General Kahn!"

Pochi was about to leave, but another marine's voice interjected, "Reporting to Lieutenant General Kahn, Fleet Admiral Sengoku is on the line."

Kahn was caught off guard.

Speak of the devil and he appears.

What an interesting coincidence!

Without hesitation, Kahn took the Den Den Mushi and answered the call.

The instant the call connected, a familiar voice filled the air.

"Kahn, what's the situation?"

It was, of course, related to Ace's situation.

"Sengoku, there's not much I could have do. The Whitebeard Pirates acted swiftly, sending two captains—powerful ones, at that. You're well aware of their strengths. They're not to be underestimated."

Kahn's words painted a clear picture of the situation.

The Sengoku fell into a thoughtful silence.

The powers of Phoenix Marco and Diamond Jozu were on par with those of Vice Admirals, and he was fully aware of this fact.

Nonetheless, Sengoku couldn't help but feel slightly disheartened by the turn of events.

"Sengoku, why don't we take the initiative and launch an attack against Whitebeard? Don't underestimate the Navy's might. If we mobilize admirals like Aokiji, Kizaru, and Akainu, along with Garp, we can certainly counter the Whitebeard Pirates. We can't let them think we're pushovers."

Kahn's voice carried a hint of frustration.

Sengoku found himself at a loss for words.

After all, Kahn was formerly the Navy's Chief of Staff. How could he make such illogical suggestions?

If the Navy were to act as Kahn proposed, they wouldn't just be confronting the Whitebeard Pirates; they'd be facing all four of the Yonko's crews simultaneously.

"It's not that simple. Consider the consequences. One wrong move could set off a catastrophic chain reaction."

"How can we do that? Don't be unrealistic. And by the way, is Crocodile alright?"

"That guy is fine!"

"That's good. Now, get a grip and focus on your task."

"Alright, got it."

The call ended, marking the conclusion of the conversation.

Ultimately, Ace's capture was just one small part of the Navy's responsibilities.

Sengoku had contacted Kahn this time primarily to inquire about Crocodile.

If Crocodile had managed to escape, Sengoku was sure to face a barrage of scolding.

"Pochi, did you hear that?"

Pochi, looking somewhat puzzled, responded, "Yes, Lieutenant General Kahn!"

The two of them headed off to complete their tasks.

Kahn took a seat, deep in thought.

Half a month later.

Kahn gazed upon the colossal Gates of Justice before him, his heart heavy with emotion.

In comparison to pirates, the World Government's Navy certainly held the advantage.

But then again!

When comparing pirate strength to the might of the Navy, it was the pirates who often came out on top.

And yet, Kahn couldn't deny that pirates enjoyed some influence over the Navy's operations as well.

The gradual rise of pirate power could be largely attributed to Gol D. Roger's influence.

Roger had ignited the spark that led to a surge in pirate activity. The resulting chaos and turmoil had led to widespread suffering among the population of the world, with the Navy unable to maintain control. Uprisings and rebellions sprung up across the globe, further swelling the ranks of pirates.

This was a vicious cycle.

It was also a significant factor that contributed to the onset of the Great Pirate Era.

Also, The marine ford war with whitebeard was to deter the pirates by executing the son of pirate king. This is also an important reason for the outbreak of the war.

The purpose was good, to deter the pirates, but the result was completely reversed by White Beard's words.

Ultimately, this chain of events had culminated in Sengoku's resignation as Fleet Admiral.

Despite all this, Kahn's focus had shifted.

It seemed that the impending Great Pirate War would not materialize.

The warship sailed through the Gate of Justice, arriving in the waters near the island.

At the port, Warden Magellan awaited their arrival.

Crocodile and a handful of other pirates, escorted by Navy personnel, accompanied Kahn.

"Lieutenant General Kahn, who is this pirate?"

Magellan inquired, his curiosity piqued as he looked at Enel.

The two sides engaged in a swift exchange of information about pirates as part of the handover process.

However, there were no records of Enel.

Magellan appeared baffled.

When Enel caught sight of Kahn, fear mingled with anger in his eyes.

But more than anything, he was irate.

Kahn, however, paid him no mind.

"He's just a self-proclaimed god. Though he isn't officially wanted, he's still a thug, so he's being sent here for rehabilitation."

Magellan glanced at Enel upon hearing this.

"Since he's a thug, he's in the right place here."

"By the way, his Devil Fruit ability is quite formidable. It's of the Logia type, so be cautious."

"Understood! Thank you, Lieutenant General Kahn, for the information."

The exchange of custody concluded promptly.

Kahn's warship soon departed.

Half a day later, the ship returned to Navy Headquarters.

However, Kahn was caught off guard as a pirate ship intercepted them just before they could dock.

"Report, Lieutenant General Kahn! We've been intercepted by a pirate ship!"

"Which pirate ship?"

Kahn's eyebrows furrowed; was there a pirate ship at the headquarters?

"It's the Kuja Pirates."

Kahn was momentarily taken aback, then his realization dawned.

It seemed the only pirate ship permitted to approach Navy Headquarters belonged to the Shichibukai.

This was most likely due to Crocodile.

Kahn's headache intensified.

Wasn't this just complicating things?

Word had reached the higher-ups already.

"This pirate is so troublesome. We're at Navy Headquarters, for goodness sake!"

"Please, Lieutenant General Kahn, what should we do?"

Kahn rolled his eyes.

"What do you think? contact them!"

Pochi's confusion grew.

"Understood. I'll inform the crew."

Kahn's voice resonated with irritation.

On the deck, a remarkably beautiful woman sat with a scowl on her face.

"Where's Kahn? I know he's here! Bring him out. I want to ask him why he's been avoiding me," the Empress demanded imperiously as she lounged on a massive serpent.

The sailors were indifferent to the commotion, their eyes glazed over by hearts.

"As expected of the Pirate Empress, even in her fury, she remains stunning."

This only fueled the Empress's ire.

She shaped her fingers into a heart.

"Love-Love Mist!"

A pink light enveloped the navy on the entire deck.

In an instant, the sailors were all petrified, unable to react.

Kahn, who had just arrived on deck, witnessed the spectacle.

Under Pochi's stunned gaze, Kahn's anger erupted.

"The bold Pirate Empress dares to provoke the Navy openly! I shall teach you a lesson!" Kahn declared as he leapt up and landed on the Nine Snake Pirates' ship.
