Kapitel 37: Chapter 37: Unforgivable

Upon leaving the hospital ward, Norris faced the wall and raised her hand to cover her eyes.

Her heart was in pain, as if something was piercing it, shattering it into pieces.

The debt she owed the Moore family was something she could never repay in her lifetime.

She had let down so many people, and deserved all of the consequences that came with it.

All this time, for the sake of the Moore family, she felt that whatever she suffered was deserved.

However, the fact was that no matter how much she tried to compensate, she could never make up even one ten-thousandth of what they had lost.

Take, for example, her young brother. He hadn't seen his father in half a year.

Their father's fate remained unknown; perhaps that last encounter had been their final farewell.

"Sis," Abigail Moore walked over and took her hand, "let's go see Dad."

Norris lowered her hand, looking at her sister's forced smile, and nodded.
