By not seeing me, you can be without feelings for me? By going through the motions in bed at night, you can suppress your inner longings? Amelia, what's the difference between that and deceiving yourself?"
"Loving someone is neither illegal nor shameful, what are you hiding from?"
With Christopher's every word, the ice in his voice and gritting teeth inquired into Amelia's intentions.
