Amelia Cobb looked at the miserable situation in the Cobbs' Villa, feeling somewhat helpless.
She reached out and shook the blanket on the sofa, and the glass shards rattled down.
"Amelia, let me handle this!"
Kallie Rayno spoke in a soft, gentle voice.
Amelia was not a spoiled lady in her previous life, and she wasn't an idiot in life. She shook the blanket and cleaned up the glass shards with a broom.
"Amelia," Kallie said again.
"Call someone to fix the glass. I'll help Auntie clean up so that it doesn't rain at night," Amelia said calmly.
There wasn't much emotion to speak of. When things happened, they needed to be dealt with, not mourned and lamented over.
All of Kallie's emotions depended on Amelia's emotions. Kallie was like a frightened bird, afraid of losing her child, and even more like a mother afraid of losing her daughter. Amelia's nature was completely opposite to her life in the past decades, with no excessive attachment.
