Kapitel 37: Running Away

Dan looked at the dead centipede below his feet, his breath coming in gasps. His throat hurt from the screaming but he was thankful that he was in a young body which made it easier to scream sharply.

He suddenly ducked and started running while crouching, his movements sudden and fast. He had to get away from here. His screaming must have attracted beasts and he wasn't going to be staying here, waiting for them to arrive.

"Kaaaaaaaaah. "

And as if to prove Dan right, a cry akin to that of an eagle came from above as the sound of flapping wings came after the cry.

Something had been attracted by his scream and Dan was thankful that he had run away.

Dan didn't stop to look back and kept on running, using the leaves as the cover. His body felt incredible like he could run for miles and not get tired. His strong feet kicked against the ground with force as he ate up the distance.
