Kapitel 109: Back with stories
When Amaterasu and Aphrodite returned from their adventure, they brought some souvenirs, so I opened all the gifts that they brought me. I also gave them the jewelry that I bought them before the festival. But now that they are back, they also told me about what they have done and what I should do before leaving this world.
Amaterasu went to a continent that created their divinity, the god of light. The people on that continent had to awaken at a certain age, and then they could pray to their god for powers. And while they do get powers from the prayers, that isn't because it was a god who was giving them it. When they prayed to their god, it would be heard from a special artifact that was damaged but came from an upper world.
When Amaterasu arrived there, she immediately located the artifact and retrieved it. It was located in a big church, but the people didn't know what it was, so it was put in a side room because it was defective. Amaterasu claimed the artifact but also took over the binds the artifact had with the people on that continent. So now, when they prayed for their god, their prayers would go to Amaterasu, and they didn't even know that it changed.
The artifact was used by higher-level light gods to make their domain easier. But they had to use their own divinity to charge the artifact so that it would create a domain. The owner of this artifact probably died, and the artifact was damaged in the fight, but it absorbed the last drops of its owner's divinity and then crashed down to a lower world.
It operated on the divine energy of its previous owner, and when it landed here, it created a domain, but only over that continent. So, the artifact indirectly blessed the people here with the blessing of light. Later, the artifact woke up but heard the prayers of the people around it, so it began to use the energy of those prayers to strengthen them and repair itself.
But while he gets the energy from the prayers, it is so little that it would take another decennium before it could move around on its own. So now that Amaterasu proposed a deal where she would be the artifact's master, the artifact didn't have a reason to refuse. So now Amaterasu's divinity of light is growing stronger as well, and even though her progress from it isn't much, all little things can add up.
With Aphrodite, she was on a whole different continent. Meanwhile, Amaterasu had beings under her jurisdiction. Aphrodite had that as well, but a bit different. She went to the demon continent. This place is where the mana of this planet mutated the most, and the people living there were transformed into demons because of it.
In her case, the demons that lived there were heavily influenced by their own lust, so when Aphrodite appeared there, it felt like she was home, but that her own home was messy and unclean. She wanted to clean their desires and make them healthier for them. She saw that they were close to evolution, so she let them be and just continued her travels.
She wasn't lucky enough to encounter a strong artifact, but she did find an interesting race. The race that she came upon was all female, and they had their own city. When she inspected them, she saw that they had pinkish skin with purple-red horns and a tail with a heart on the end. 'Succubus' That was the race she found.
While they weren't the strongest in the land, they were more united than the other demons raced, so while some demons would try to kidnap some succubi because of their beauty, it didn't end in their favor at the end of the day. They had their own city because it was their own sanctuary where they could be safe and not be in danger of being kidnapped or attacked at any moment.
The succubus had the power of lust and illusion. The people who lived in the city of Succubus were shocked when Aphrodite walked towards their gate because it was the first time they had seen someone more beautiful than them. While normal women would be jealous when a woman appeared more beautiful than them, the succubus race wasn't like that.
They quickly invited Aphrodite inside and treated her like royalty. Succubus worships beauty; the more beautiful you are, the better they treat you. After just a day in the city, everyone treated her like a queen, and some even began to worship her.
Aphrodite found it cute that these creatures worshipped her only for her beauty. She thought it would be fun to have these creatures be her chosen race on this planet. High-ranking gods could do that to creatures and bloodlines that aren't evolved enough to resist it. This is also one way for a god to become stronger.
If your chosen race becomes stronger, you also get more benefits, and the prayers hold more value. For example, having a saint at rank three and a saint having the power of a Demigod is a big difference in energy. The amount that the god would benefit from having a Demigod rank saint is astronomical compared to a rank 3 one.
That is also the big difference between a low-class god and a high-class one. The high-class one has much stronger subordinates, and even though you could compensate quality with quantity, it is really a waste of time. That is because the difference in energy between a rank three and a demigod is so large that you would have to fill a whole galaxy of tier threes before you could compare to one Demi god.
Aphrodite blessed the succubus and taught them the ways of illusion and lust. Their worship also worsened after that because while worshipping beauty, they weren't stupid enough not to realize that strength wasn't needed. So now that they had a queen who was both, the whole succubus race counted itself blessed.
