Kapitel 120: AN ACCIDENTAL PECK

Towards evening, Rex wheeled me out of my ward. In the midst of the celebratory mood, we had almost forgotten about my daily routine walks, which the doctor recommended to help with my dizziness.

He gently stopped my wheelchair on the tiled walkway and helped me cross the brick threshold into the lush green grass.

"The weather looks nice today," I commented.

"Yeah, it is," he said, letting go of my hand. "You should be careful," he added.

I smiled. "I'm fine now, and my leg is almost completely healed. I don't feel much pain," I said.

"I know, but you should still be careful," he insisted.

I nodded with a smile as we both began to walk together. Rex had been very attentive. Aside from him, Brayden was also quite protective—he called every day, even more often than Lisa and Diamond. I didn't mind it; I knew it was his way of making sure I was okay.
