Kapitel 356: Chapter 355 "Death Toll of Uagadou"

Seeing Wenna's arrival, Joseph smiled warmly and motioned for her to sit in the chair in front of his desk.

Wenna took a deep breath and sat down slowly. Noticing her demeanor, Joseph frowned and said, "Wenna, you seem a little nervous. What happened? You can tell me anything; after all, we're family!"

Wenna nodded somewhat mechanically and recounted her conversation with Wentworth, though she omitted some details.

"Brother, I met with Wentworth this morning. We had a little chat. He was interested in our tribe's tradition and such, so I told him that I wanted to be his wife." As Wenna spoke, Joseph remained silent, his expression unchanged.

When she finished, Joseph slowly stood up and walked over to her. Seeing this, Wenna closed her eyes.

In the next second, Joseph grabbed her by the throat and lifted her off the ground.

Joseph's indifferent voice echoed in her ear, "I remember telling you last night not to mess with Wentworth again. Why didn't you listen to me?!"

Struggling to speak, Wenna replied, "I... I wanted to... try again!"

Hearing Wenna's answer, Joseph snorted coldly and said, "Whether you want to try again or leave with Wentworth, you know it yourself! I told you to put away those thoughts."

"There are very few truly smart people and very few truly stupid people in this world, but there is never a shortage of clever ones."

"Wenna, you've disappointed me! I've given you the chance to let Wentworth see you, but you didn't manage to capture his heart. Now you want to tell me you want to do it without discussing it with me first?!" Joseph yelled in anger while glaring at Wenna's eyes.

Wenna is struggling to breathe due to the pressure Joseph is putting on her throat, "B...Brother... please..."

Meanwhile, Wentworth, led by Emma, arrived at the door of Uagadou's principal's office. On the door, a bronze parrot with closed eyes stood motionless. As Wentworth and Emma approached, the parrot suddenly opened its eyes and said, "State your intentions!"

Wentworth stepped forward and replied, "Wentworth Dumbledore from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry needs to see Headmistress Headmistress Lopez."

The parrot closed its eyes again for a moment. When it reopened them, it said, "Headmistress Headmistress Lopez welcomes you both. Please come in!"

The door to the principal's room slowly opened, and Wentworth and Emma walked inside.

Behind the door was a long corridor resembling a tunnel, but what astonished Wentworth was that the entire corridor looked like a tunnel of stars. The ceiling, walls, and even the floor were covered with shimmering stars.

Walking through the somewhat dark, starry tunnel, Wentworth and Emma finally entered the principal's office. There, they found Headmistress Lopez seated at her desk, waiting for them. Behind her was a captivating backdrop of celestial illustrations.

Headmistress Lopez gestured to the two chairs in front of her and said, "I didn't expect you two to get acquainted so quickly! I thought it would happen once the potion championship started. Sit down!"

When Wentworth and Emma sat down, Headmistress Lopez looked at Wentworth with a smile and said, "Wentworth, congratulations. You are the first Hogwarts student to enter this office in a thousand years. How does my office compare to Headmaster Dumbledore's?"

Wentworth smiled and replied, "Your office is completely different from the one at Hogwarts. The headmaster's office at Hogwarts feels heavy with history, while your office feels mysterious and enchanting. It feels mystical just to step here, to be honest. If you were a professor at Hogwarts, you would probably be a Divination professor!"

Headmistress Lopez nodded slightly with a smile. "A very fair evaluation. I've been to Dumbledore's office. Though it's not large, it feels as if history itself has frozen there."

She continued, "Our office at Uagadou was rebuilt after I took office. Naturally, it lacks the historical weight of Hogwarts."

Wentworth quickly added, "Actually, Uagadou's Headmistress office is also very distinctive. Headmistress Lopez, I'm curious—why are there so many starry sky elements in your office?"

Headmistress Lopez replied calmly, "There are many magic schools in this world, but only eleven are world-renowned. These eleven schools cater to underage wizards, teaching a broad curriculum, yet each has its own area of expertise."

"For example, at Hogwarts, you excel in Potions, Herbology, Charms, and Transfiguration. Professor McGonagall, for instance, is undoubtedly a master in Transfiguration!"

"We at Uagadou have our strengths as well, particularly in astronomy, alchemy, and self-transfiguration. And, of course, we also excel in potions, as we're competitors in the potion championship."

"The vast majority of Uagadou's past principals have been masters of astronomy, especially adept at divination. Perhaps this is why Uagadou has thrived in Africa, a continent where barren and fertile lands coexist and where war and peace alternate. Now, do you understand the reason for the decor here?"

Wentworth's understanding of Uagadou deepened with Headmistress Lopez's explanation, and he said, "I understand, Headmistress Lopez. Hearing you say that makes me even more interested in Uagadou!"

Headmistress Lopez laughed and said, "I hope you don't develop too much of an interest in Uagadou!"

Wentworth was taken aback by her words, raising his brows. "Headmistress Lopez, I don't quite understand what you mean. I enjoyed my stay here; the other students were very welcoming to me, but I don't know the meaning behind your words."

Headmistress Lopez looked at Wentworth calmly and said slowly, "You should understand what I mean. The stars have told me that Uagadou will be reborn, but rebirth requires destruction first. Without destruction, there can be no rebirth."

"I thought it would be Albus Dumbledore who delivered the final blow to Uagadou! For it to be you, Wentworth… no one would believe me even if I tell them anything about this." Headmistress Lopez teased a smile toward them.

"Everyone assumes that by allowing Dumbledore's involvement in the International Confederation of Wizards, I trust in Dumbledore's character. Yes and no! In reality, I am tolling the bell for Uagadou, signaling its fate. It's time for things to change in Uagadou, and both you and I will be the pioneers for it!"

"It's the death toll of Uagadou!"
