Kapitel 46: Chapter Forty-Five

I know some of you have been finding the action and story kinda slow and a lot of you found the dungeon chapters kinda boring.

Well, that changes now, I hope you're ready...

/////////////////////////////////////////

In a different realm, a world bathed in the ethereal glow of white luminescent flowers, a moon of immense size and brilliance hung in the sky, casting its gentle light upon a solitary figure.

This figure was an embodiment of beauty, her hair a pristine white that surpassed even the concept of purity. Her flawless skin seemed untouched by imperfections as she gazed up at the moon with a serene expression.

The moon, however, was not the only object of her attention. Cradled within her palm was a ball of darkness, a stark contrast to the luminescence that surrounded her.

With a serene smile, she blew upon the darkness, and like a veil being lifted, the obsidian exterior began to fade, revealing a small, delicate light within.

This light seemed fragile, as though a mere breath could extinguish it, yet it radiated an unyielding determination.

As the woman observed the minuscule light within the darkness, her smile deepened, carrying an air of fondness and encouragement.

Softly, she spoke words that resonated with a quiet assurance, "You're almost there, my little moon."

....

The scene shifted back to Muichiro, lying in bed in the comfort of the Wheat Manor. His expression was peaceful, mirroring the tranquillity of the world around him.

Unbeknownst to him a Cresent moon symbol appeared and materialised on his forehead before disappearing completely.

...

(Wheat Manor)

The next day, Muichiro decided to set his goals higher.

Muichiro set his sights on the deeper floors of the dungeon, things were just too easy on the lower floors and despite progressing quickly, in fact probably the quickest in Orario's history he still felt like he could do better.

As Muichiro strapped his katana to his belt, he felt two warm pairs of arms wrap around his neck.

"Good luck in the dungeon today, and come back to the Manor safe and sound okay." The voice of course belonged to Demeter.

Muichiro turned his head to see his goddess, and with a nod he said." I promise Ceres-San." Seeing him promise her she smiled and patted his back.

"Then good luck today."

Muichiro nodded then headed out. On his way to the dungeon, he stopped by the Guild to pick up a mission or two he could do.

Unfortunately, there weren't any that caught his interest.

And since he didn't catch Rose anywhere he had no other business at the Guild and headed straight for the dungeon.

.....

( The dungeon: The sixth Floor)

He quickly ventured to the 6th floor, on this floor he would be meeting some very interesting monsters...Frog Shooters.

The first monster was a Frog Shooter, a peculiar frog-like monster with a single large eye.

As the creature lunged at him, its long tongue shot out like a projectile, aiming to ensnare him. Muichiro's swiftly evaded the tongue's grasp.

With a swift strike, he sliced the creature in two, the monster then turned into dust and left a small magic stone behind. As more Frog Shooters continued to spawn he decided to practice some of his other breathing forms besides mist.

A soft hiss escaped Muichiro's lips as he got into a familiar stance.

[Water breathing Third Form: Flowing Dance.]

The rhythmic dance of his blade cut through the air, carving a path through the Frog Shooters that stood in his way.

*Paa, Pa, pa, pa,*

One by one they all turned into dust and Muichiro collected all his rewards. Now that he thought about it, Rose did say it would be helpful to have a Supporter.

He would ask Demeter when he got back if she knew any people that could be that for him, and if not he could just ask Rose or put up a supporter member needed on the mission board.

....

Deeper into the floor, he encountered the War Shadows, dark humanoid monsters with razor-sharp claws.

They kind of looked like the Endermen from Minecraft or maybe Slenderman.

Their reputation as "newbie killers" only fueled Muichiro's curiosity. Employing his Wind Breathing technique, he unleashed the first Form of wind breathing.

*Hisssssss*

[First Form: Dust Whirlwind Cutter.]

Moving at blinding speeds, he carved through the darkness with a horizontal cyclone pattern, his blade striking with the precision of a gust of wind.

The monsters' attempts to corner him were futile as he gracefully evaded their attacks and countered with a relentless onslaught.

Nothing on the upper floors stood a chance against him, Honestly, it was quite depressing for the monsters, though they couldn't think, imagine just being born only to be killed a second later.

.....

The descent to the 7th floor brought a new threat: Killer Ants, red ant monsters armed with hard shells and deadly pheromones.

[Nature's Blessing: Active/ Eighth Form: Waterfall Basin]

Muichiro leapt forward, twirling in a spinning motion as his blade slashed through the air.

The dance of his strikes culminated in a powerful overhead blow, releasing gargantuan waterfalls of force that pulverized his adversaries.

It was another crushing defeat, but since Muichiro was finding that more monsters spawned on the 7th floor he decided to stay there for a little bit just to get some training in.

While there he did bump into some level two adventurers but they only gave each other a simple greeting before going about their business.

.....

Slowly but surely Muichiro was making steady progress as he delved deeper and deeper into the dungeon.

As he got to the ninth floor he noticed that the lower he went the bigger the rooms inside the dungeon were. While the length of the hallways between them became shorter.

The ceilings changed height from three to four meters from the floors above to nearly ten meters above. Moss covered the brown coloured walls and the ground below became short and grassy.

The strong light from the phosphorescence above was similar to light from the sun so there was no problem with sight.

No new monsters appeared, however, monsters from the 1st-7th Floors appeared again but stronger.

Though as usual, Muichiro had no problem with them, as he sliced through all of them with ease.

It was recommended for Level 1 adventurers to have a status of at least E in their basic abilities to explore these floors.

But from what he understood from his own abilities he could easily make it to the 18th floor and dive even deeper.

As Muichiro was walking through the caverns he sensed something on his right, and on instinct, he lifted his katana.

*Clangggg*

Sparks flew wayward and Muichiro stepped back in surprise as he saw a monster, but it wasn't a new monster, it was a war shadow.

But something was different about it, instead of a dark black humanoid body, its skin was crimson red with black markings etched onto its skin.

This was clearly a special war shadow, a variant, an irregular of its species, though rare it does happen from time to time.

The Guild normally sends out missions for higher-class adventurers to deal with them.

As the Irregular war shadow eyed Muichiro down, its smile widened before screaming and lunging at Muichiro.

The war shadows arms became a blur and so did Muichiro's blade.

Suddenly the war shadow smiled and swiped its foot towards Muichiro's leg trying to disable him but Muichiro used the wall to jump up and dodge.

He then propelled himself from the wall creating spider cracks two inches deep and 5 metres wide.

[Nature Blessing: Active/ Fourth Form: Shifting Flow Slash]

Muichiro performed the fourth form of mist breathing and disappeared mid-air, before reappearing behind the Ireggulr war shadow.

A moment later multiple sword slashes appeared across the war shadow body and even its left arm was cleanly cut off.

Muichiro breathed and turned to the war shadow to finish it off...

*RUMMMMMMMBLE*

However, when Muichiro had just turned his head, he suddenly felt like something was off...

As his eyes met the war shadows, something was different, its eyes...they felt more intelligent, more alive.

As their eyes met the war shadow lifted its right arm as its left was still regenerating, and as if to mock Muichiro, waved his hand in a bye-bye manner...

*RUUUMBLE*

It was only then that Muichiro felt the weightlessness under him, Muichiro's eyes looked down in confusion as he saw the gaping hole under his feet.

When had that appeared...why hadn't he noticed the ground beneath him disappearing?

Muichiro's senses went on overdrive.

[Nature's Blessing: Active/ Seventh Form: Revised Gale, Sudden Gu....]

*BOOOOOM*

But as if sensing Muichiro's movements the ceiling above started to crack before a column of Dungeon stone formed.

It flew straight down on Muichiro with such force that Muichiro had no time to get out of the way and was forced down into the darkness, falling for who knows how long.

The last thing Muichiro heard was the mocking laugh of the war shadow as it watched him fall...
