Kapitel 128: Game of Seduction
"Well, you've met all the internal and training standards. If everything checks out, you'll definitely be selected for the next manned rocket mission," Alex remarked, reviewing the data. Despite Susan being a woman, her training had been exemplary. A glimmer of joy lit up Susan's face at the promising news. However, her elation was short-lived as Alex's next words plunged her into despair.
"But a friend of mine mentioned that his nephew has a keen interest in space exploration and would love the opportunity to go…" Alex's voice trailed off, a subtle smirk playing at the corner of his lips. With Susan's back turned to him, she couldn't discern his expression. Meanwhile, a pang of coldness pierced Susan's heart as she realized she might lose the opportunity due to nepotism.
"So, does this mean my qualifications are being overridden?" Susan couldn't suppress the bitterness in her voice, feeling disheartened at the thought of her hard work being dismissed.
"If you truly aspire to be an astronaut, there's another option," Alex remarked, a faint smile gracing his lips.
"What option?" Susan inquired, turning to face him.
"Be my partner," Alex replied, swiveling his chair around to meet Susan's gaze head-on.
Susan's heart skipped a beat as she processed Alex's proposition. She had never considered such a possibility, but the idea intrigued her. With a coy smile, she stepped closer to him, allowing her hand to gently brush against his.
"Why are you doing this?" Susan asked, her voice laced with a hint of playfulness as she leaned in closer to Alex.
Alex's smile widened slightly as he leaned back in his chair, seemingly enjoying the power he held over her.
"Because I am the head of Stark Industries. I hold sway over much of the United States' economy," he explained, his tone casual yet smug.
Susan clenched her jaw, her frustration boiling over at the blatant display of privilege and entitlement.
"It's unbelievable! Is money really all it takes to do whatever you want?" Susan exclaimed incredulously, her eyes narrowing in determination.
Alex chuckled softly, his confidence unwavering as he rested his hands on the table.
"Sorry, but yes, money can truly make almost anything possible," he replied, a hint of arrogance coloring his words.
As Alex reached for the phone on his desk, Susan's mind raced with a plan. She couldn't let him dictate her future any longer.
Before Alex could dial the number, Susan leaned forward, her voice dripping with honeyed charm.
"Is that so, Alex?" she purred, her gaze locking with his. "But money can't buy everything, can it? There are some things that are far more valuable than all the riches in the world."
Alex raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Susan's sudden change in demeanor.
"And what might those things be?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.
Susan flashed him a seductive smile, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Passion, for one," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "Adventure, excitement... And maybe even a little bit of danger."
Alex's breath caught in his throat as he realized what Susan was implying. Suddenly, he found himself captivated by her confidence and allure.
"Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?" he asked, his voice betraying a hint of excitement.
Susan leaned in closer, her lips tantalizingly close to his ear.
"Only one way to find out," she murmured.
Alex grinned, relishing in his own wickedness.
"Now that you've made your decision, strip," he said with a wicked smile. If he was going to play the villain, he might as well go all out.
Susan's heart pounded in her chest as she realized the opportunity that presented itself. She knew she had to act fast, before Alex's intentions became reality.
With a sly smile, Susan began to slowly unbutton her shirt, her movements deliberate and calculated. She watched as Alex's eyes widened in surprise, his smirk faltering for the first time.
"Are you really going to do it?" Alex asked, his voice betraying a hint of uncertainty.
"I'm taking control," Susan replied, her voice dripping with confidence as she continued to undress. "You think you can manipulate me with your power and money, but you're wrong. I know exactly what I'm doing."
As Susan stood before him, clad only in her undergarments, she could see the shock and desire flickering in Alex's eyes. She knew she had him right where she wanted him.
"Is this what you want, Alex?" Susan asked, her voice low and seductive as she stepped closer to him, her body inches away from his. "Or are you afraid of a woman who's not afraid to play your game?"
For a moment, Alex seemed unsure of how to respond, his usual confidence faltering in the face of Susan's unexpected boldness.
But then, a wicked grin spread across his face, and he reached out to pull Susan into his arms.
"You have no idea what you're getting yourself into," he whispered, his voice filled with both warning and excitement.
"Maybe not," Susan replied, her own grin matching his as she leaned in to kiss him, sealing their pact with a promise of both power and passion.
As they embraced, Susan knew that she had won this round. But she also knew that the game was far from over, and she was more than ready to play.
