A couple of minutes passed, and the duo regained their strength even if their eyes never left the figure of the dead creature before them. Its damaged chest had stopped bleeding but had still formed a pool of blood around it, drenching the sand.

Viera imagined that the beach would need to be closed down for a day or two to deal with that stain.

In truth, despite the creature's emergence, the island and its people would be unharmed and even undisturbed by the event. The beach, however, was outside the school's barrier, and students needed their watch to bypass it.

For normal civilians, they would be given passes that allowed them to go and come. As such, that creature would have never been able to cross the barrier talkless of hurting anyone.

Notwithstanding, Tristan didn't expect such a thing to occur so randomly. He was beginning to see patterns. And he didn't like what he deduced.
