With Daniel's exit from the cubicle, Linda was quick to recover from the shock. She attentively hushed and flocked off the rest of the onlookers out of the cubicle to give privacy to their CEO.

Suzy inhaled deep breath, flicked her hair on her back, faced Chris with a soft look, and told, "Don't take Daniel's jabs personally, okay. He has been with me for so long so it's natural to react unrestrained sometimes. Now like a good boy take a deep breath and let's settle your score with Mr. Brian, alright."

With a hopeful glance she waited for Chris' response, her palm resting on Chris' left cheek. His stubble felt like pricking so she started caressing her thumb to and fro.

Chris' heart filled with warmth upon her action and cajoling.

He heaved a deep sigh and murmured, "How can you be so calm and focused, Suzy? Besides he insulted you, I can't let anyone disrespect my wife in any way. I could have beaten that snake to death…"
