She heard Chris seaking again in a dull baritone, "I was frantically searching for you at the fair. You think I like to have fun with other women, don't you? But let me clarify it to you again, I stopped being that guy, the one that you married a month ago. This vacation would not have happened if I wanted to goof off. I won't be a spineless man like my father in this marriage of ours. I won't ever cheat you at least and you know this well."
Chris explained earnestly while his eyes and tone turned heavy, as he gasped some air and added, "It's up to you to believe me or not."
He then turned, and walked away towards the beach house that stood nearby.
Suzy stood dazed comprehending what he just said and then she ran swiftly in Chris' direction. Chris' footsteps stopped in his tracks, when he felt a soft quilt enveloped him.
"I'm sorry!"
Suzy embraced him from behind tightly. Their heartbeats quickened instantly.
