Kapitel 41: The Official Dinner

Chris exited his car upon reaching the Chief Office of Onetti Group. Passing through the revolving door, he entered the grand office, drawing curious gazes from the surrounding employees. 

Many of them recognized him and greeted him if they came on his way. He only passed a smile to them and headed to the VIP elevator. Chris remembered the first time he came here was with his mother. After that day, he never stepped into this place. He never felt its need. But now everything had changed. 

Chris entered the elevator painted in gold with a clear mirror on the back wall. Pressing the 30th-floor button, where the Project Department was situated, Chris waited for its door to close. 

He took out the phone and saw Liam's missed call, followed by a message. Chris called his friend and glanced at the screen flashing the floor number inside the elevator. 

"Where are you, Dude?" Liam asked. 

"In the office," Chris replied.
