Kapitel 39: Your focus should be me

The statement caused Suzy to suddenly develop hiccups, and she gently patted her chest. "We should head out," she suggested. Her ears turned crimson red just recalling Chris' words that sounded so possessive. She had already settled the bills and then pushed the door open to exit.

Chris followed her. Suzy's hiccups happened again and then suddenly a hand appeared in front of her. Her line of sight fell on the crystal clear water first, followed by her husband. Her eyes widened with curosity written all over her face. 

"You need this!" Chris remarked followed by unscrewing the bottle cap.

"Thank you." Suzy accepted the water bottle, chucked in a few sips before securing back the cap. As Chris retrieved the bottle from her, he noticed her hiccups persisting. However, before he could intervene, Suzy moved ahead of him.
