Kapitel 47: You do affect me

Chris handed a glass of water to Chris after his father and stepmother left. Earlier, Dorothy helped her in taking those presents back to the car in which Brian and Patricia had come.

"I don't want to drink," Chris replied.

Suzy glared at him and asked Chris not to refuse for water. He drank the water and placed the glass on the table, which Dorothy picked and leave for the kitchen.

"I shouldn't have let them inside. I'm sorry," Suzy answered.

"I thought you respected elders more than me. You are soft toward them," Chris remarked.

"I don't respect those who disrespect my people," Suzy replied straightforwardly. "You should go upstairs and change. I will bring some snacks for you," she said.

Chris' eyes carried a lot of emotions, which were tough for Suzy to read. But she knew he was upset with his father's behavior toward him and his stepmother, Patricia, was evil.

"Hmm." Chris stood up and left to the bedroom.
