Jules could feel her heart beating and pounding hard inside her chest. It was like a band was playing a song that was out of tune.

She had no reason to be nervous since they had invited her to come. It was not like she came without notice. But she could not help it. 

"I don't know what to expect inside. Kaely said they wanted to see me. Frankly, this is the moment I have been waiting for." But how could she explain how she felt?

Her entire body was shaking inside as butterflies freely swirled inside her stomach. Was it fear or excitement? She could not tell.

Undoubtedly, she wanted to see her stepfather. She missed him so much. But she was afraid to look at the disappointment in his eyes.

"I would not assume to know what is going on in that head of yours or how you feel about seeing your family again. But I will be here if you need me." Her husband assured her as they drove on the familiar street toward the house where she grew up.
