"She took him."

She took her son.

"But why?"

The question repeated in her mind as she drove her car back home. She was not afraid for her son's safety. However, she would admit she was wary of her mother-in-law's intention.

"Hi!" Jules was the first to speak on the phone since she was the one who contacted him.

She had to call him since he might know what was going on. His mother might have asked for his permission to take their son. But he just forgot to tell her about it.

She hoped there was a plausible explanation for this unusual behavior of her husband's mother. Although she had noticed Frances's peculiar interest in Oliver the last time she visited them.

Still, she did not think much of it until now. 

"Where are you?" Damon immediately asked, not angry but with a hint of curiosity in his tone. "I was about to call you, but you beat me."
