His son's tiny, adorable voice repeatedly called him while he answered a phone call as they exited the main house. It was a prominent investor that he had been pursuing for weeks.
He believed he would play a crucial role in his plans if he finally got Jimmy to agree to his proposal. Therefore, he could not dodge his call and make him wait.
"Dad... My friends said that..." But his words died down in his ears as he concentrated on the other man on the line. He held his fingers to his son to wait while he paid attention to their conversation.
"Dad..."
But as he was starting to understand, his son was no different from him. He seemed to inherit most of his traits, including his terrible ones.
"Dad..." He impatiently repeated, tugging on his pants to call his attention. And it seemed he was not giving up until he got what he wanted.
