"Why is everyone so tense up about this meeting tonight?" Marissa asked Giovanni, who had to look up from his phone to see her. She's been wanting to hear Giovanni explain the beef and rivalry between his family and that of Alina's.

She was there the last time they had a disagreement, and she has expected that he will clear her on that part. Afterall, his family had misinterpreted the signal Alina's family sent over, as her being a spy that has been working for them.

They are on their way over to the destination for the dinner between the two families, and Marissa was insightful to see that Giovanni wasn't happy that she's tagging along. But there's nothing that can be helped about the situation, not when she's the only one who's happy about this meeting.

Even if she has no connections with the Petrovs, the fact that the invitation was for everyone has already given her a free pass, yet she doesn't understand why everyone was so tense.
