Kapitel 73: Lacking Manners
"Breakfast is ready," Ethan walked in and called out.
"I'll be right down," Amelia hurriedly ran into the bathroom to freshen up.
Seeing her rushing around, Ethan smiled and said, "You woke up but didn't bother to tidy up. Standing there daydreaming in the morning, how amusing." He shook his head lightly and left.
"Alright, you can get off the car now. I need to take care of some things outside, so I won't go to the office." Amelia nodded and got out of the car, entering the company alone.
Strange, he could have just told me to drive myself here.
Arriving at the office, she noticed that the adjacent room was being cleaned.
"What's happening? Is there a newcomer for this office?" Amelia asked Mike, who was standing outside the door.
Mike quickly turned around upon hearing her voice and respectfully looked at Amelia. "Good morning, Ms. Sophia. Yes, it's a new employee for the acquisition planning department."
Amelia nodded slightly and walked towards her own office.
Why would someone from the acquisition planning department be on this floor?
Puzzled, she let out a light chuckle and sat down at her desk.
Knock, knock.
"Come in."
Rosetta walked up to her with a faint smile. "Good morning, Ms. Sophia."
Amelia looked up at her and noticed how beautifully she was dressed today. She wore a knee-length pink dress that accentuated her figure, with wavy hair flowing down her shoulders. Her makeup had a soft, warm tone, giving her a gentle and soothing appearance.
"Good morning. Why are you here?" Amelia asked, looking at her. Then she remembered the dinner between Mike and Rosetta last night and Ethan's arrangement for other positions. This made her immediately speculate, could it be that Rosetta is her office neighbor?
"I'm here for work, just in the office next to yours." She finished speaking and glanced provocatively at Amelia before walking out with a sexy stride.
Amelia felt a bit confused, finding the situation amusing and somewhat absurd. How did it end up like this? This Rosetta is even more annoying than Bella.
Her makeup was restrained, unlike Bella's bold red lips and overall heavy makeup, which made her look so extravagant.
But she definitely has an audacious personality. Now that she's actually working here, she must be someone cunning and scheming. Amelia needed to be careful in dealing with her.
Recalling Rosetta's appearance and behavior just now, Amelia analyzed her thoughts.
"Thank you, then I'll be working here from now on."
"No need to thank me. After all, you treated me to dinner last night, and besides, you're the CEO's cousin." Mike replied, smiling, as he looked at Rosetta. He believed that the CEO always treated her with kindness. The CEO must be satisfied with this arrangement.
The morning passed with Amelia quietly reviewing documents and occasionally making phone calls to inquire about the progress of contracts. Ethan was not in the office today, so she didn't know if he would come to pick her up for lunch.
Glancing at the clock, there were still ten minutes until the end of the workday.
"Shall we leave together after work?" Rosetta walked in and casually asked, continuously walking around the office, looking around.
Amelia glanced at her, observing the young lady. How could someone be so lacking in manners, entering without knocking and wandering around?
"No need, it's not on my way," Amelia replied, staring directly at her.
Upon hearing this, Rosetta stopped her wandering and turned to face Amelia. "You don't even know where I live, how do you know it's not on your way?"
Amelia gave a cold smile. "What exactly are you looking for?"
Rosetta chuckled lightly. "Ha, just taking a look around."
Just taking a look? This is my office. There's an owner here. It's truly lacking in manners.
"Miss Jones, I'm getting ready to leave. If there's nothing, please leave." Amelia stated firmly, staring at her.
Rosetta hesitated for a moment, but still leisurely wandered around Amelia's office, eventually stopping at the doorway. She turned back and smirked, "It's time to leave. You can go now."
Amelia glanced at her. What kind of person is she? She simply lacks self-awareness.
As soon as she finished tidying up and reached the company entrance, Ethan's car arrived and stopped in front of her.
"Get in the car," he said.
Amelia nodded, and suddenly, Rosetta approached them.
"Ethan, can you give me a ride home? It's my first day at work, and my mother dropped me off, so..."
With her straightforward personality combined with this sudden coquettish tone, Amelia glared at her and got into the car.
Ethan understood that her mother had saved him before, so mentioning her mother would definitely make Ethan agree.
"Alright, get in," he said.
"Thank you."
During the ride, Amelia felt a sense of suppression, while Rosetta appeared quite natural and even displayed an affectionate manner.
"Ethan, I started working today, and my office is right next to Ms. Sophia's. If I have any problems, I can always consult with Ms. Sophia," Rosetta said.
"No need to exaggerate," Amelia replied lightly.
Ethan was startled. How could Mike arrange for them to work together? This is truly creating trouble rather than solving it.
"Thank you. Don't worry. I will work hard," Rosetta said. After speaking, she provocatively glanced at Amelia, exuding a sense of pride on her face.
Amelia gave a cold smile, turned her head to look directly at Rosetta, and stared at her without saying a word before finally turning away.
"We're here, you can get out of the car. Take care," Ethan said.
"Thank you."
Finally, Amelia breathed a sigh of relief. The atmosphere between the two was relaxed and pleasant, but with one more person, it suddenly felt stifling.
"What's wrong? Are you unhappy?" Ethan noticed Amelia sitting there in a serious manner, not saying anything, with a stern expression that seemed somewhat displeased.
Amelia took a slight breath. "It's nothing. I haven't fully recovered from the previous atmosphere. I feel uncomfortable all over."
"She's just straightforward, without any ill intentions. Get to know her better, and you might like her," Ethan said, looking at Amelia with a natural expression that showed his deep affection for his cousin.
Amelia didn't say much in response to his comment, simply standing there and staring outside the car window, feeling somewhat uneasy.
Ethan understood that Amelia wasn't happy. However, Rosetta's mother had saved his life, and he always remembered that. So, he would try to treat her well, even treating her like a sister, just like Aria.
"Where are we going?" Amelia asked.
"To Chinchol Manor, bringing lunch back," Ethan replied.
It has become their own kitchen—either eating there or taking food away. Thankfully, they always order just enough, finishing it all.

"Dear, have you really thought this through? Do you really want to marry Andrew?" Delilah quietly asked Bella as they ate, feeling that it would be a pity if her daughter didn't become the wife of the Grand Group's CEO in her heart.
