Running away from the divine one was not going to resolve their problems. That much Kurina knew. But she had accepted her fate the moment Jay had gone down.

Her instincts had told Kurina that there was no way for her side to win this confrontation with the divine one. So, the feeling had been her best shot. And even then, she had not been happy.

“We should be safe here for some time. The other guardians like Akira and Cassin should be here soon enough. I am so sorry for abandoning you all this time, lord Jay. I used to be your father’s loyal retainer. I am the earth's guardian.”

The lady who had saved Kurina and Jay quickly. Her voice was soft and melodious which made it fun to hear. Kurina liked this lady but from Jay’s look, he did not share the sentiment.

“You were my father’s retainer? If so, then can you tell me what you thought about my father? You can share your honest opinion and you do not need to be worried about my reaction.”
