Kapitel 28: Chapter 28: Sponsor
"Right then, to start off, Yamper is what you call a pokemon! They are unique creatures, capable of doing multitudes of wondrous things, like controlling weather, causing floods or droughts, hell even earthquakes that may affect the whole country if they're strong enough!
And they aren't only capable of causing destruction! They can also save lives and make them for the better!.... "
Zeke started his long explanation about the wonders of pokemon, only stopping from time to time to check whether the two were listening, and they were.
And once he's done, he was met with Alex, excitedly waving around to get his attention as he asks.
"Shop owner! When can I get my Pokemon?!"
Seeing this bundle of enthusiasm, Zeke could not help but smile in his mind, before he turned his head to Jason, who at first glance looked calm, but when you look at his shaking hands, you could see that he's in fact boiling with excitement as well.
"I agree with Alex, May I inquire how we could get Pokemon? "
Seeing the two's extreme anticipation, Zeke could not stop his smile from forming, but he managed to suppress it somewhat as he guided the two to the counter, which is not so far away.
"Pick one, and let fate decide who you will get, I hope the two of you get a pokemon that fits you"Zeke Voiced as he watched the two filled with amazement in seeight the eggs.
"Now, the two of you can choose more than one egg, but since it's your first time, you should pick one first before picking another if you want to buy a second one after" Zeke advised, and the two nodded hearing this, as they realized the importance of their first pokemon.
And upon receiving Zeke's signal, the two started to choose which of the egg they would get.
The two having different styles of choosing, on one hand, Alex based his choice on the physical aspects, like it's weight, and size.
While Jason touched every egg to hopefully find his fated partner.
The two took a long time in choosing, and Zeke even closed the shop as they chose to not let others interrupt them.
And finally, after 15 minutes of the two searching, they finally picked the eggs they wanted.
And when Zeke used appraisal, he was surprised to see that the two ended up picking two of the 4 rare eggs that he has.
So, he asked the two to follow him, while the two carried their eggs, even Yamper followed along as he knew that new friends will appear soon, as he saw this scene which happened yesterday.
He sat besides Zeke as they stopped at the incubators.
"Alright boys, You can both put your eggs in one of the nest, and then we wait to see what hatches from it"
The two nodded once they heard this, and simultaneously put down their eggs gently in a nest of their choosing.
"Now, while we wait, the three of us can continue our conversation from before"
Zeke beckoned the two and led them towards the sofa.
Meanwhile Yamper stayed near the nest, staring at the two eggs as he awaited for them to hatch.
Zeke went on to explain more deeply about trainers and their responsibilities, just like what he said to his other customers who got the rare eggs.
After the explanation, he offered the two the same thing he offered Andre and Chitoge,listing their pros and responsibilities if they ever accept.
Jason merely took a minute before he accepted, meanwhile Alex took longer as he thought about how it affects his family and their businesses as a whole.
And after careful consideration, he finally accepted, as he knows that the pokemon would greatly help their family in the coming future.
He might not look like it, but Alex is actually the first in line successor of a Cartel.
But Jason and Zeke were not privy to this information, and only thought Alex was playing hard to get.
This world, albeit similar, has some differences from the previous world that Zeke came from, and one of them is that, Cartels, Gangs, Mafias, and Yakuza's activities are actually in order, and greatly controlled.
Especially the big wigs like Alex's family, and only some start-up groups are likely to cause major trouble.
They are more like silent rulers, watching over the smaller groups and only acting when things gets out of hand.
They do have some scuffle here and there, but that's a story for another time..
Once done what he needed to say, Zeke excused himself for a moment, as he remembered an item that he got from yesterday's gacha, which he forgot to set-up.
Leaving the two future trainers and the patiently awaiting Yamper alone in the room,waiting for the eggs to hatch.
Once outside, Zeke opened his system interface, going into the inventory before clicking the card which depicted a red machine.

Zeke thought about where he could place the Poke-Block Machine and decided to place it on the second floor.
So he went up, and walked towards the kitchen and ripped the card in half before placing it on top of the table.
Seeing the machine on its full glory, Zeke nodded, and decided to make some once he got to know the recipes.
Since he finished what he came out for, he planned to go back down the shop, passing by Siesta's room as well as the balcony.
But he did not see Ditto and the others anywhere so he shrugged and got back down at the Daycare at the perfect timing as he heard a rather interesting conversation taking place between the two future trainers.

"Hey Jason, wanna do a pokemon battle when our pokemon can?" Alex suggests to the pondering Jason, waking him up from his inner thoughts.
He looked at Alex and nodded with a smile and replied "Sure man! BUT! I'll most likely kick your butt"
"quite confident are you?" Alex voiced.
"Well see.."
"Right, aside from that I've been thinking about what you asked before.. What do you mean by "New Mexico"? The city I'm in is in the State of Washington" Jason asked, confused about Alex's previous words.
"Huh?? But I'm in New Mexico. I entered this shop from there, so how could it be the State of Washington? are you tripping? "Alex confusedly asked.
"No, seriously I'm from the state of Washington.. I'm studying there, here I'll show you my ID" Jason took out his wallet, fetching his ID before showing it to Alex.
Upon seeing this, Alex got even more confused as he was sure he's in New Mexico right now, as that's where he lived all his life.
But looking at Jason's ID, he knows it's not fake, he even took out his phone to search for the School Jason is at and its real.
So the two got into a dilemma, trying to find out what's going on right now.
But thankfully the two heard the voice who might just clarify what the hell is going on.
"I think I can answer what you two are wondering about" Zeke voiced as he entered the Daycare.
""Shop owner!!"" The two exclaimed at the same time, but Zeke did not answer the two and just walked slowly with a smile.
Only after he sat down did he talk once more.
"So? The two of you must have questions, Yes?"
The two nodded solemnly, they looked at each other before Jason nodded which Alex replied with his nod as well.
Jason nodded one last time seeing this before the two turned their heads towards Zeke.
Jason took a deep breath before voicing.
"So… What's exactly happening right now? I know that I entered the shop from the state of Washington in the U.S, and Alex came from New Mexico.. how did this entire encounter happen anyways?"
Hearing his voice, Zeke smiled before he replied.
"It's quite simple, teleportation"
""..... That's it? /What? "" The two customers voiced at the same time when they heard Zeke's answer.
"Yes… A simple answer don't you agree?" Zeke replied with a mysterious smile.
"... But how?!?. Why?!?"Jason, the more intellectual of the two asked, full of confusion. Flabbergasted by what he just heard.
Meanwhile Alex did not voice anything, as his mind tried to comprehend Zeke's words.
"Hahaha, why are you two surprised? My shop is literally selling never before seen animals that could cause mass destruction if they are trained well, so teleportation isn't out of the box… Also mind you, you two are not the only one that has noticed it, another customer of mine has also expressed this concern"Zeke voiced, chuckling from time to time.
"Okay then, that answered both of your questions, and look! It seems that your eggs are about to hatch"Zeke pointed at the eggs which were slowly glowing and shaking, before cracks started to appear.
Yamper's tail wagged left to right, happy that he can finally meet two new friends.
"please go near to your respective eggs" Zeke instructs the two, who despite wanting a more deep explanation about what Zeke just said, decided to put that issue in the back of their heads temporarily to witness the hatching of their partners.
"Rejoice! and forget about the rest. For now, Celebrate the birth of your partners!"
Zeke voiced loudly as he stood up, and when he finished speaking, the pokemon eggs of the two stopped shining, before cracks appeared in each of their eggs that spread all around a moment later.
Before finally…
A cry that came from each egg was heard by everyone in the room before little heads popped out from the inside, the heads different, with each unique charms, before their bodies followed afterwards as the egg completely broke down, revealing their whole entirety.
What hatched from Jason's egg is a Pokémon with a white upper body and brown lower body that resembles a snow-covered tree could be seen, It has green eyes and three points on top of its head while Its feet and green tail are stubby, with two green spikes that resemble pinecones on its back.
Meanwhile Alex's egg hatched a bipedal, grayish-green Pokémon with pale, straight tusks protruding from the sides of its mouth.
"Congratulations you two! You hatched some rather impressive pokemon, the two are called snover and axew respectively I hope the two of you will care for them deeply as they would to you, as well"
Voiced Zeke, as he walked towards the two and patted their backs.
He then used his appraisal on the two newly hatched mons.

"Axew has the potential to be one of the strongest dragon type pokemon! so you're very lucky Alex, so be sure to raise him well so it's potential would not be wasted!" Zeke then looked towards snover before saying.
"Snover, albeit having a major fire weakness, is actually super amazing as well! One it's typing, which is the Ice type is one of the three only known weaknesses against the dragon type, which is the type Axew has, the other two weaknesses being fairy and the dragon type itself"
"I'll sell snover for 2,250WD and axew for 2,450" Both are pretty cheap, but that's only because our shop is pretty new, so boys, will you take them home?"
Hearing Zeke's words, the two young men had different reactions, with Alex only having an excited face, on the other hand Jason froze, his expression unreadable.
The two noticed this of course so they asked what's wrong.
It took a while for Jason to shakily respond as he looked at snover's wide eyes looking at him.
"I… Unfortunately.. I don't have enough money.. " Jason voiced, remembering that he only saved 1kWD, which he realized is not enough, after all he's not buying just any normal pet.
"Oh! If that's your only problem, then don't fret! I can lend you money, and you can just pay me back at a later date! After all we wouldn't have that promised battle if you don't have a pokemon right? And besides, we're friends aren't we? And friends help each other out!" Alex voiced with his usual cheery voice.
Alex's words made Jason feel like tearing up, but still, he planned to reject it, not because he doesn't think of him as a friend, but it's precisely because he's a friend that Jason does not want to take advantage of his kindness.
"I-" Although before Jason could utter his refusal, Zeke interjected.
"Actually! I have a rather simple solution for your problem. And that's to employ or rather, sponsor Mr.Jason here as one of the store trainers!
A spokesperson you could say, but only for the shop! I'm sure you two have realized the potential impact of the pokemon in the world by now, so why not hire someone to help?
You, and your pokemon's potential are clearly more than enough.
And as for the perks..
Getting a starter for free is one of them, along with a lifetime free healing in the pokemon center, as well as some other things. Although the pay will not be that big as the shop is still starting up.
So.. what do you say, Mr. Jason?"
'I.. The offer is really tempting… But I still need to enter college soon to finish my education.. But then again, I'm sure the shop and especially the pokemon will become a big industry sooner or later.. So what do I do..'
"Umm… Can I ask what the responsibilities would be if I were to accept being sponsored?" Jason asked, still hesitant whether to accept the offer or not.
"There's nothing much, except for basically just advertising how useful pokemon are, while also helping us do some things in the future, like for example; guarding for events and such, or you can become a full time employee and work in the shop!
I'm not gonna go into details but believe me, you will experience some amazing things, and meet people that you won't expect to meet"
It took minutes of pondering before Jason took a deep breath and muttered..
"Alright, I'll bet my future in these guys"
Zeke smiled upon hearing his answer.
"Good choice! Welcome to the family Jason!"
Zeke extended his arms for a shake, which Jason reciprocated with a smile.
"Alright then, since your problems are now solved, take care of your partner, and for now grow! Nurture him to become the very best.
Now then, since you're now being sponsored by the shop, come with me to take your freebies, of course you can come too Mr. Alex you can also get them, although you need to pay"
"No problem here! Just tell me what I need to raise this little guy here and I'll buy em!"Alex voiced, making Jason smile wryly as he thought.
'Isn't this guy kinda gullible? Thankfully I'm not one to exploit others'
